The Chicago Bears have clinched the NFC North and are already part of the playoffs, so they will have this decision to make this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.

The thing with the Bears is that while they can still get into one of the top two spots for a first-round bye, it does look as though they are going to be in the #3 spot. My guess is that they put everyone out there this week in an effort to make a push for one of those spots, before deciding what to do in the final week of the season. Why bet on the Chicago Bears?

With their win over the Green Bay Packers last week, the Chicago Bears improved t0 10-4 on the season, clinching the division crown in the process. It has been a fantastic run of form for the Bears, as they have now won 7 of their last 8 games, doing so while their starting QB, Mitch Trubisky, was sidelined for a few weeks. This is a team that is built from the defense up, though, so they are able to get wins when the offense isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders.

Chicago has proven to be a fantastic bet as the favorite this season, going 8-3 ATS in those games, although they are not as impressive on the road, going 2-3 ATS as a road favorite. Given how well the Bears defense has played, it may be a surprise to learn that the OVER has hit in 6 of their last 10 games. The OVER has come up in 4 of their 6 road games.
