A rested, healthy Arizona Cardinals look to take on the Green Bay Packers in a repeat matchup of a game we saw just three weeks ago. When we last saw these teams face off, things didn’t look so good for the Packers as they were decimated in a 38-8 loss. Since then not much has changed with either team aside from their recent losses/wins. The Cardinals are well-rested, but did lose their last game 36-6 to the Seattle Seahawks. After a string of losses during the regular season, the Packers offensive looks rejuvenated. QB Aaron Rodgers and Company were able to put together a 35-18 win against the Redskins. Now, NFL football betting fans are wondering if we’re going to see a repeat loss for the Packers, or if they’ll pull it together when they visit the University of Phoenix stadium once more… so, should you bet on the Arizona Cardinals to take home the win? The Cardinals have been playing out of their mind through the entire year. At 13-3 they’ve been killing it throughout the year, especially against the Packers who they beat 38-8. Let’s look at a few reasons why you should bet on the Arizona Cardinals to beat the Green Bay Packers.
Wagering on Recency:
Scratch that fairly meaningless Seattle game last week and Arizona is 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games (excluding the Seattle game). When the Packers and Cardinals faced off on the 27th of December, Green Bay committed four turnovers, were held to 77 passing yards, and while their rushing game accounted for over 100 yards, it was too little too late. They couldn’t get anything going, and if you believe in a recency bias, you shouldn’t expect anything to change in this one. Arizona should be able to take care of business, as nothing has changed in the last three weeks, aside from the Packers losing Davante Adams and Arizona getting a few weeks of rest.

Wagering on Statistics:
Arizona comes into this game with one of the top ranked defenses in the league, but also rank among the top offenses. Typically they’re known for their defense, but Carson Palmer has things clicking with top wideouts Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown, and Michael Floyd. The Packers have been doing well as far as their pass rush, but covering wideouts is another story, especially if Sam Shields remains out for this game. Carson Palmer should destroy the Green Bay secondary just as long as their offensive line can keep the likes of Mike Daniels, Clay Matthews, and Julius Peppers at bay.
Cardinals vs Packers Betting Prediction
I expect the Cardinals to come away with this game handily. Currently they’re the top favorite to win the Super Bowl among bettors, and things will stay that way when Arizona beats Green Bay in this one. I wouldn’t doubt Arizona wins by double digits. 30-17 is my final projection. Arizona is simply too strong for the Packers and they just don’t match up. Arizona is a Super Bowl contender. Green Bay didn’t even win their division, and against top competitors, have struggled as of late.
