Why Bet on the Oakland Raiders?

The Raiders got man-handled in their 33-13 season-opening loss against the Rams on Monday night while never coming close to covering the spread as a 6.5-point home underdog. Quarterback Derek Carr threw three interceptions, including two in the end zone. Oakland blew a 13-10 halftime lead while getting shut out for the entire second half.

“It was a tale of two halves,” Gruden said. “Obviously we did not take care of the ball and that was a critical part of that football game.”

Veteran running back Marshawn Lynch rushed 11 times for 41 yards and one touchdown while tight end Jared Cook had an incredible game with nine catches for 180 yards.

Why Bet on the Denver Broncos?

Are the Broncos a safe bet for NFL Week 2?

The broncos got past Seattle 27-24 in a hard-fought battle that sawlinebacker Von Miller record three sacks, force two fumbles and recover one while new starting quarterback Case Keenum went 35 of 39 for 329 yards with three touchdowns, but three costly interceptions in the win.

“I’m really excited about how good this football team can be,” Keenum said. “Because if we take care of the ball — if I take care of the ball, because those are all on me — we’re going to be really, really hard to beat.”

Veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders had 10 catches for 135 yards and one touchdown ahile fellow wideout Demaryius Thomas hauled in six balls for 63 yards and another score.

Raiders at Broncos NFL Betting Prediction

I like the Denver Broncos to hold it down at home in this Week 2 divisional matchup simply because their defense looked fantastic in Week 1 and Derek Carr looked confused far too often in Oakland’s Monday night loss.

If Von Miller got to the elusive Russell Wilson three times last wekend, i’m expecting hom to get to the less mobile Carr at least as many times. While Case Keenum tossed three interceptions in his debut with the Broncos this past Sunday, I expect a better outing for hime against a Raiders defense that lacks a consistent pass rush and generally isn’t very scary.

The Raiders are an uninspiring 2-7-2 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record, 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven road games. The Favorite in this division rivalry has gone 10-1-1 ATS in their last 12 meetings and the Raiders are just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six meetings in Denver. The Broncos win and cover the spread, although I’m not real fond of the 5.5-point spread.
