The Patriots enter Week 6 with the NFL’s top offense (419.4 yards per game) and passing offense (320.4). New England defeated Tampa Bay 19-14 in Week 5. The Patriots have won 11 of the past 13 regular-season meetings against the Jets. Brady won his 186th career regular-season start last week, tying Brett Favre and Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history. So obviously, Brady can move into sole possession of first place this weekend. His 211 career wins (including the postseason) are the most by a quarterback in NFL history. Entering Week 6, Brady leads the NFL with 1,702 passing yards and ranks second with a 112 passer rating. Brady has 23 regular season wins against the New York Jets as a starter and joins Favre as the only quarterbacks with at least 23 wins against two divisional opponents. Yes, Brady is dealing with a shoulder injury but it’s his non-throwing shoulder. It’s unlikely he misses this game even though he’s been limited in practice all week. Brady says he’s playing. The Pats could be without Rob Gronkowski again, though. The Pro Bowl tight end missed Week 5 and was limited this week with his thigh injury. Running back Rex Burkhead is expected to make his return after missing the last three games with an injury to his ribs. Incidentally, if not for the Jets, Brady might never have become a superstar and GOAT. It was a Sept. 23, 2001, game in which Jets linebacker Mo Lewis knocked out quarterback Drew Bledsoe, opening the door for Brady to make his first NFL start.Team Statistics

Why Bet On NY Jets in the NFL Spread?
The Jets have won three consecutive games and enter Week 6 tied for first place in the AFC East with Buffalo and New England. New York is 2-0 at home this season, outscoring opponents 43-26 in those games. Last week, the Jets defeated the Browns 17-14 in Cleveland. QB Josh McCown threw touchdown passes to tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and wide receiver Jermaine Kearse. The Jets are hoping running back Matt Forte (turf toe) returns after missing two games. He practiced Wednesday, an encouraging sign. If he can’t play, the Jets have a problem because running back Bilal Powell (strained calf) is a bigger question mark than Forte. That could mean plenty of rookie Elijah McGuire. McGuire’s calling card coming out of Louisiana-Lafayette was his receiving ability; he caught 129 balls in four college seasons and averaged a robust 10.7 yards per catch. He rushed 11 times for 20 yards, adding two receptions for 10 yards in the win versus the Browns.
McCown could have a big game against New England’s No. 32 defense. McCown’s 71.4% accuracy is second in the NFL behind Kansas City’s Alex Smith. McCown is one of seven QBs to have posted a 100+ QB rating in three or more games this season. McCown has targeted Jeremy Kerley 17 times and the veteran has hauled in 17 receptions. That perfect reception percentage is tied for first among all qualifying players and the next closest WR is New England’s Danny Amendola at 75.2% (27 targets, 23 catches).
New York hasn’t gotten to the QB much in 2017 but Brady has been under pressure all season and has already been hit 32 times over five games, including 16 sacks. The Jets’ pass rush hasn’t instilled much fear in opposing quarterbacks (only seven sacks), but it has been sneaky good — 32 quarterback hits, according to the team stats.
