It has been something of an odd start to the 2017 NFL football season, with scoring down, and some of the best teams in the league struggling to perform at their best. I do believe that normal service will be resumed as the season progresses, and perhaps that will begin next weekend. Baltimore Ravens vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

NFL Week 3 represents an opportunity to get your betting started early, as it features a pair of teams making a trip to jolly old England for the annual game at Wembley Stadium in London. These games are always tough to predict, as you never really know how the teams are going to react after making such a long journey. The Baltimore Ravens are almost certainly going to be the favorites for this one, as they come into Week 3 with a perfect 2-0 record and a defense that looks championship ready. The Jags are 1-1, and have been a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde team through the first 2 weeks. Which one will show up in London?

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The NFC East is usually always a division that is tighter than most, except of course for last season when the Cowboys ran away with it. If the Giants get the win on Monday night, all 4 teams will head into NFL Week 3 with a 1-1 record, which makes these divisional match-ups all the more important. The Eagles have looked good through the opening 2 weeks, and are getting some great work from QB Carson Wentz. The Giants lost their season opener, and really need Odell Beckham Jr back in the line-up if they are to challenge for the division this year. If the Giants lose on MNF, they are in real danger of starting the season 0-3.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions

The Atlanta Falcons struggled in Week 1 against the Bears, although they did hang on for the win, but then followed that up with a big home win against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. Matthew Stafford helped engineer a big 4th quarter comeback to get the Lions the win in Week 1, and they will try and get to 2-0 on Monday night against the New York Giants. Watching a pair of gun slinging QB’s going head to head is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, in my humble opinion. Matt Ryan and the Falcons are favorites against the Lions in Week 3.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans

We mentioned at the start of this piece how some of the better teams have been struggling through the first couple of weeks of the NFL season, and it can be argued that the Seattle Seahawks are at the top of that group. Losing to Green Bay at Lambeau is nothing to be ashamed of, but struggling to put away the 49ers at home definitely is. The offense is struggling badly through the first 2 weeks, and need to pick things up to get past the Titans. Tennessee bounced back nicely after losing in Week 1, laying a hefty beating on the Jaguars in Week 2.

The Raiders come into Week 3 as the top scoring team in football, with 71 points through their opening 2 games, not to mention a 2-0 record. The Redskins got the win over the weekend to get to 1-1, and have a QB in Kirk Cousins who is once again out to impress so that he can get a big money long-term deal. Carr Vs Cousins is a shoot-out that we all want to watch and wager on.
