Hooker has a couple of physical advantages. Dan is 2 inches taller and he has a 2-inch reach advantage. But other then the physical advantages, it’s difficult to know why he’s the favorite over Claudio Puelles.

Puelles has a fantastic 13-2 record. Hooker has lost 4-of-5. The odds make the chalk an underlay while Claudio is an overlay. If you can still get +130, you should consider grabbing the number on Puelles as soon as you can.

Frankie Edgar +180 vs Chris Guitierrez -220

We never like going against Frankie. The underdog in this one of the greatest MMA fighters in the sport’s history. On Saturday, Edgar faces an opponent who should have no trouble handing Frankie his eleventh loss.

Edgar has a win and 4 losses in his last 5 bouts. Frankie’s last 2 losses came via stoppage. 

Guitierrez has won 4-of-5 and 3 straight. Chris is 8-0 via technical knockout or knockout victories. He’ll get to Frankie early in this one.

Dustin Poirier -230 vs Michael Chandler +190

Based on stats, Poirier is the chalk because of his name. Dustin shows a win and a loss in his last couple of fights. The win came against Conor McGregor because Conor couldn’t continue after suffering an injury. The loss came via submission in a championship bout against the terrific Charles Oliveira. 

In Michael Chandler’s last, he devastated Tony Ferguson with an unbelievable highlight knockout. Before beating Ferguson, Chandler went toe-to-toe with Justin Gaethje. 

Poirier can win for sure but the odds make the chalk an underlay. At +190, Chandler is a great bet.

Carla Esparza +300 vs Zhang Weili -380 | Women’s Strawweight – Title Fight 

It’s not often that the champ heads into a bout the 3-to-1 underdog. But on Saturday, Carla Esparza takes on one of the top women MMA fighters on the planet, Zhang Weili. 

The favorite in this has a 3-2 record in her last 5. The two losses came against Rose Namajunas. Zhang won her last bout, beating Joanna Jedrzejczyk via second-round knockout.

Not only that, but Weili is 3 inches taller than Esparza. We’d love to back Carla because she’s so tough but Zhang should take this.

Israel Adesanya -210 vs Alex Pereira +175 | Middleweight Title – Main Event

Pereira has a 6-1 record. One of the reasons he isn’t a bigger underdog is because Alex is 5-0 via TKO or KO.

Pereira is 0-1 via submission. Adesanya has never won a bout via submission. So the thinking is that Alex can hang with Israel in the stand up.

Although there’s a reason some MMA fans think that it’s difficult to go against the champ. Israel is 15-0 via TKO or KO. When he gets an opponent in danger, he closes the deal. 

Not only that, but Adesanya’s lone loss happened when he moved up in weight to take on Jan Blachowicz. The champ defends his title.
