UFC Fight Night: Hermansson Vs Vettori Expert Analysis

UFC Fight Night: Hermansson Vs Vettori Expert Analysis

Written by on December 4, 2020

It’s back to Sin City we go for UFC Vegas 16 and a main card that is filled to brimming with 6 big fights, assuming we do not get aby late cancellations. We are going to break down all the bouts on the main card and make predictions for each, so let’s get right to it along with their UFC odds.

UFC Fight Night: Hermansson Vs Vettori | MMA Betting

Movsar Evloev (-620) Vs Nate Landwehr (+420)

The main card begins with a Featherweight bout between a pair of in-form fighters. Evloev is a perfect 13-0 in his pro career, but he has been made to work hard of late, with each of his last 3 bouts going the distance. He is certainly going to have his hands full with Landwehr, who comes into this one with a 14-2 career mark, although he is just 1-1 under the UFC banner. I think this one goes the distance, with Evloev getting the win.

Roman Dolidze (-200) Vs John Allan (+160)

The Light Heavyweights are up next, with one of these fighters looking to maintain a perfect record. That would be Dolidze, who has amassed 7 straight wins as a pro fighter, with none of them ever going the distance. John Allan has a 13-5 career mark, but he has been especially consistent of late, winning 5 of his last 7 bouts. He looks to be up against it here, though, as I have Dolidze getting the job done quickly.

Gabriel Benitez (-235) Vs Justin Jaynes (+195)

Next up is a Lightweight bout between a pair of fighters looking to bounce back after a loss. Benitez has now in fact lost 2 in a row and is just 3-4 in his last 7, so there is sure to be a little bit of added pressure there. Justin Jaynes saw a 5-fight win streak, including his first at the UFC level, come to an end in his last bout. Not one of his last 6 fights have gone the distance and I think we get more of the same here. I am taking Jaynes for the slight upset win via KO.

Taila Santos (-225) Vs Montana De La Rosa (+185)

The fight before the first of the co-main events is a Featherweight bout that looks to be a very good one in the making. Santos has an excellent 16-1 career mark, bouncing back nicely to win after her first career loss to Mara Borella in a split decision. De La Rosa is in a bit of a slump at the moment and has now lost 2 of her last 3, but she is always a tough out. I like this one to go the distance, with Santos getting the win.

Ovince St. Preux (+150) Vs Jamahal Hill (-180)

Any fighter that wants to make it to the top needs to prove themselves against fighters that have already been there. That is the task for Light Heavyweight Jamahal Hill on Saturday night, as he puts his perfect 8-0 record on the line against one of the biggest names in the UFC. At 37, St. Preux is in the late stages of his career, but he is still a weapon despite being inconsistent of late. This should be a great fight, but I have Hill winning by KO late.

Jack Hermansson (+110) Vs Marvin Vettori (-140)

After a positive COVID test last weekend, Kevin Holland is out of the main event, replaced by Marvin Vettori. The Italian Dream is coming into this bout on a 3-fight winning streak, but will the late nature of his addition to this one have an impact on his performance? Hermansson rebounded from a loss by destroying Kelvon Gastelum in the opening round of his last fight. This should be a close one, but I am taking Hermansson to win as a slight dog.
