Check out main card and prelim analysis and UFC Odds for UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs Benavidez!

Figueiredo vs Benavidez Odds & Picks July 18th

  • When: Saturday, July 18
  • Where: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

 Figueiredo -200 / Benavidez +160

Although Deiveson is a -200 chalk, he might offer overlay odds to beat Joseph Benavidez for a second time. Benavidez threw punches over his front foot in the first fight. As anybody with boxing experience will tell you, that’s a recipe for disaster. Expect Figueiredo to take advantage again.

 Hermansson -110 / Gastelum -120

Hermansson has a few physical advantages that he can use to beat Gastelum on Saturday. He’s taller and has a much longer reach than Gastelum. Give the slight underdog a shot.

Diakiese -165 / Fiziev +135

Marc Diakiese won both his 2019 fights. Fiziev is a Muay Thai Striker. That’s not a good style against Diakiese because Fiziev is shorter and has a slight reach disadvantage. Marc should make it three wins in a row.

 Lipski -130 / Carolina +100

Ariane Lipski has lost 2-of-3. Luana Carolina hasn’t lost since 2015. Although Carolina hasn’t fought since May 2019, we should give her the benefit of the doubt. The odds imply a close fight. Luana offers even money, which makes her the play.

 Pantoja -190 / Askarov +155

Pantoja is a great fighter. The only opponent to have beaten him in his last five bouts is Deiveson Figueiredo, UFC’s flyweight champ. But it’s hard to turn our backs on Askar Askarov. The tough Russian fighter is 11-0-1. Askar has won 3 fights via KO and 7 via submission.

 Dolidze -190 / Ibragimov +155

Undefeated at 6-0, Roman Dolidze makes his UFC debut. Don’t be fooled. There are plenty of non-UFC mixed-martial-arts fight leagues on this planet that produce excellent brawlers. Dolidze is one of them.

 Dawson -225 / Narimani +185

Dawson has a 2-inch height advantage and 2-inch reach advantage. He’s also 15-1. The chalk takes this.

 Duffy -355 / Alvarez +280

Alvarez has a 4-inch reach advantage. But that’s not the real reason to like the dog in this fight. Joel Alvarez knocked out his last opponent. He’s 14-0 via submission wins/losses. If he’s developed a game in the stand up, watch out. The physical tools are there. Back the underdog.

 Johns +170 / Jackson -210

9-1 Montel Jackson should use his 4 ½ inches reach advantage to dominate Brett Johns. At -210, Jackson might be an overlay.

 Ramos +160 / Tsarukyan -200

Tsarukyan can fight both standing up and on the ground. That should put Davi Ramos in a tough position. The chalk wins again.
