The CFL is ready for the playoff chase to begin in earnest as the season nears its end. While Toronto seems primed to win the East Division race, there will be plenty of jockeying for playoff position as the season’s last few weeks play out.

Lions quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. doesn’t appear to have the same pop since returning from injury a few weeks back. While he is still capable of putting up big passing numbers, he threw for 326 yards last week, Adams isn’t the same threat with his mobility. Adams only attempted one rush in a loss to Hamilton last week.
Montreal has an excellent pass defense and is hoping to use this game as a statement week. The Alouettes are 6-4 this season but have yet to score a victory against the three top CFL teams. Montreal lost to Winnipeg by 30 points last week and lost to the Lions 35-19 during their last meeting in Week 5. The Alouettes will break through with a big win this week.

The Blue Bombers looked like a team on a mission. Winnipeg has rolled off five straight victories to move into first place in the West Division. The Blue Bombers have scored 30 or more points in three of the past four games.
Winnipeg is 6-5 against the spread this season. The Blue Bombers have the top yardage amount in the league, putting up 410.5 yards per game. Winnipeg also has a strong defense, ranking second in the league by allowing 20.5 points per game. Saskatchewan has won two of its past three games. The Roughriders are 4-5-1 against the spread this season.
Saskatchewan’s offense is struggling this season, ranking seventh in the league in scoring at 21 points per game.

Kelly threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Calgary last week but was also intercepted twice.
The Tiger-Cats broke through with a big win over BC last week. Hamilton was able to limit Lions quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. and could use a win over the division leader. While Toronto has a pair of double-digit wins over the Tiger-Cats this season, this game will be kept within a touchdown.

The Elks are hot right now and should be able to score enough to keep the game with Calgary close, if not win outright.
