NCAAB Best Bets for Friday, November 18, 2022

Written by on November 18, 2022

We are still in the very early stages of the 2022 college basketball season, which tends to make things a little trickier when it comes to making predictions. We haven’t really seen enough of any team to get a handle on how good they are or might be. We are also basically relying on trends that carry over from last year, but it’s all we have to go on at the moment. There are, though, still some games that we like heading into Friday night. We are going to focus on ATS and O/U picks in this piece and will deliver 2 of each. You can ply these picks, ignore them, or add them into your own parlay tickets. Either way, let’s see if we can get some winners.

Analysis of Friday’s games at the NCAAB

Tarleton State Texans Vs Belmont Bruins (-4 ½)

We get things started with this one, which will be played on a neutral site in the Virgin Islands as part of the Paradise Jam Tournament. This is one of those games that is more of a hunch play than anything, as neither of these teams have really impressed against the spread. The Texans are 5-10 ATS in their last 15, while the Bruins have failed to cover on their last 5. Someone has to snap out of that funk and cover the spread, and I believe the Bruins will be the team that does it.

UT Martin Skyhawks at Ole Miss Rebels (-19 ½)

While we focused on a potentially close game with our first pick, we are now going to look at one with a much larger point spread. Sure, this is a big spread, but there are certainly reasons to believe that it’s a number Ole Miss can cover. Let’s start by taking a look at the UTM road record, where they have failed to cover in each of their last 7 games away from home. In Friday night games on home court, the Ole Miss Rebels have covered in 5 of the last 6, so a lot to like with this one.

Florida Gators at Florida State Seminoles – UNDER 147

There is nothing like a good rivalry game, which is exactly what we are getting here, as the Gators take the short road trip to face the Seminoles. While there are some things that point to the OVER in this one, I am leaning the other way, as I believe the number to be a little too high. The UNDER tends to come when Florida plays away from home, with 10 of their last 15 road games going that route. We have also seen 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two teams go UNDER.

Denver Pioneers at Idaho State Bengals – OVER 137 ½

When going through the games on the Friday schedule, this was one that immediately jumped out as an OVER pick, simply because the trends with both teams are just that convincing. Starting with Denver, they have seen 4 of their last 5 games go OVER, as well as 5 of their last 7 played in the month of November. It is much the same story with Idaho State, who have seen 7 of their last 9 home games go OVER. All signs seem to point in one direction.
