We know that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will fight Logan Paul on February 20. Although that fight is more of an exhibition than an actual boxing match, it should kick off what promises to be an exciting 2021. Boxing, like UFC, was one of the first sports to return during the pandemic, meaning any of these matches listed below could happen. Will We See Pacquiao Vs Garcia or Joshua Vs Fury?

2021 Possible Boxing Matches – Early Analysis & Picks

  • Manny Pacquiao -160 / Mikey Garcia +120

Manny Pacquiao hasn’t fought since beating Keith Thurman via split-decision in August of 2019. Most believe Thurman won the fight. But we can’t take anything away from Manny. He was a 41-year-old fighting a 30-year-old undefeated top class boxer. If the judges got swayed because Manny landed some great shots, well, that’s how it goes.

Mikey Garcia is a terrific fighter. His lone loss was to Errol Spence Jr. Errol is one of the top pound-for-pound boxers on the planet. Mikey beat Jessie Vargas in his last fight. Although Manny remains fast, eventually, age catches up with every fighter. Garcia is the early pick.

Early Boxing Pick: Mikey Garcia

  • Anthony Joshua +150 / Tyson Fury -200

Anthony Joshua has looked great in his last couple of fights. He won the rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. Then in his next bout he knocked out Kubret Pulev. Pulev and Ruiz are smaller and shorter than AJ. That’s not the sole reason he won those fights, Joshua still had to box, but it’s the main reason.

Fury has the chance to become one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. He’s undefeated with a 30-0 record. The lone blemish was a draw to Deontay Wilder in their first fight. Tyson dominated Deontay in the rematch. If this happens, and it probably won’t because Joshua doesn’t get into the ring versus boxers who can beat him, Fury easily handles AJ. Tyson’s skills are on par with Larry Holmes’ and Lennox Lewis’. Joshua won’t stand a chance.

Early Boxing Pick: Tyson Fury

  • Floyd Mayweather Jr. -200 / Conor McGregor +160

Here’s another fight that most likely won’t happen. Conor showed up in the 2017 battle between these two. Floyd had to work to beat McGregor. If anything, Conor’s boxing skills should have improved in the time since. Mayweather Jr. won’t want to tarnish his legacy, which means he won’t give McGregor a rematch. Then again, money talks and Money Mayweather loves the green. We hope this does happen because Conor offers overlay odds.

Early Boxing Pick: Conor McGregor

  • Floyd Mayweather Jr. -240 / Manny Pacquiao +170

In their 2015 fight, the one that made them both richer than 99.9% of people living on planet Earth, Manny entered the ring with a bum shoulder. He asked Floyd if he could get a cortisone shot before the match. Floyd said, “No.” That has haunted Floyd for years since because, well, Pac kept fighting and Mayweather retired only to return to battle Conor McGregor.

If this happens, it would be a huge fight because Pacquiao knows only one gear, go forward and throw punches. An older Money may not have enough in the tank to beat an oncoming Pacquiao. So, don’t expect Floyd to put his pristine record on the line for this fight either. If he does, expect Manny to go no hold barred and try to pull a Hagler-Hearns. We think it works.

Early Boxing Pick: Manny Pacquiao
