Jack Massey +510 vs Joseph Parker -1111

  • Manchester, England

Joseph Parker cuts an imposing figure. The chalk in this bout is 30-3. Parker has knocked out 21 of his opponents.

Joseph has lost a single bout via stoppage, which explains why he’s a big favorite to beat Jack Massey. However, Massey is no slouch. The underdog in this is 20-1 with 11 knockout wins.

Since a unanimous decision loss to Richard Riakporhe in 2019, Massey has won 4 straight. Jack has won 3 straight via knockout or technical knockout. For sure, Parker should be the favorite. The odds, though, make the underdog an overlay.

Boxing Pick: Jack Massey

Krzysztof Glowacki +555 vs Richard Riakporhe -1250

Glowacki is a tough dude but he’s got a big time flaw in this match. Krzysztof doesn’t often lose, but when he does, it’s by knockout or technical knockout.

The underdog in this has fallen by stoppage twice. That’s bad news for his chances versus undefeated Richard Riakporhe.

The big time favorite is 15-0 with 11 stoppage wins. Riakporhe has won his last 3 bouts via knockout or technical knockout. In his last, Richard beat then 20-1 Fabio Turchi via second round TKO. The chalk prevails.

Boxing Pick: Richard Riakporhe

Chris Kongo -117 vs Ekow Essuman -117 | British Welterweight Title

Challenger Chris Kongo is 14-1. Half of Kongo’s victories have come via stoppage. For sure Kongo can win this bout, but the champion won’t just hand over his belt.

Ekow Essuman is 18-0 with 7 wins via TKO or KO. Essuman fought this past Sep. 24, beating Samuel Antwi via 12-round unanimous decision. Before beating Antwi via decision, Essuman beat Darren Tetley via decision.

Ekow should frustrate Kongo with his boxing abilities. The fight will be close but Essuman wins on the scorecards.

Boxing Pick: Ekow Essuman

Chris Eubank Jr. -322 vs Liam Smith +214

Based on records, Chris Eubank Jr. shouldn’t be such a huge favorite. Both guys are tough dude. Eubank Jr. has a 32-2 record with 23 knockout or technical knockout wins. Liam Smith is 32-3-1 with 19 KO or TKO wins.

So why is Smith such a big underdog? Two fights ago, Liam beat Jessie Vargas in a bout at Madison Square Garden. After the fight the New York Athletic Commission suspended Liam indefinitely.

Eubank Jr. has reach and height advantages and we can’t be sure Smith will fight as effectively off whatever peds he was taking. The favorite wins.

Boxing Pick: Chris Eubank Jr.

Bermane Stiverne +385 vs Jonathan Guidry -714

  • Miami, Florida

Underdog Bermane Stiverne will step into the ring with a 25-5-1 record. Stiverne has won 21 of his 25 victories via stoppage, which means Bermane has got a lot of power.

In Florida on Saturday, Stiverne takes on a tough fighter in Jonathan Guidry. The chalk is 18-1-2 with 11 knockout or technical knockout wins.

Last Jan. 29, Guidry fell via split-decision to then 21-0 Trevor Bryan. Jonathan bounced back last June with a victory over Dacarree Scott. Although Stiverne has power, Guidry appears set to win his nineteenth fight.

Boxing Pick: Jonathan Guidry
