Things got heated earlier this week when both men decided to put up their share of the purse in a winner take all bet. Also on Saturday, IBF Junior Lightweight champ Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov goes against Joe Cordina.

Rakhimov had to rally in his last. Zelfa Barrett had built up a huge lead on points. Rakhimov fought his way back into the fight and then beat Barrett via TKO in the ninth.

But although Rakhimov fought great against Barrett to win the title, he couldn’t have picked a tougher opponent to defend his belt against. Joe Cordina has incredible boxing skills.

The favorite also has good power. Cordina knocked out Kenichi Ogawa with a single punch in his last. It’s going to take more than one punch to beat Rakhimov, but Cordina gets it done.

Zambrano has a record that suggests he will fight well in this. Kevin Salgado is 15-1-1 with 10 stoppage victories. However, after watching film on Elijah Garcia, it’s apparent that Salgado doesn’t have much chance.

The 14-0 Garcia has won 12 fights via TKO or KO. He does so many things right. It’s obvious that he’s expertly trained. It’s also obvious that Garcia works hard.

Elijah has the look of the sport’s next great middleweight. He puts together his punches, always places his feet before throwing, and uses his jab to set up his power punches. Look for a KO prop bet before backing Garcia on the money line.

The most anticipated boxing match of the year so far won’t disappoint. Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis have been talking trash to each other for over a year. So we should expect both to step into the ring and give it their all.

The winner will come down to which fighter moves better and has the higher boxing IQ. On both counts, Davis takes this.

Don’t think for a moment that Tank doesn’t know that Garcia likes to throw with his lead foot inside of his opponents. Doing so almost always ends badly because when you throw and your lead foot is inside of your opponent’s, you’re open to devastating counters.

Also, Garcia likes to get out of trouble by moving straight backwards. That’s another massive flaw in Ryan’s game. Davis will take advantage of all of Ryan’s errors. Gervonta wins via TKO or KO.
