One week remains in the CFL season. This is as good of a time as any to place your bet for who will be crowned the king of Canadian football. Updated 2022 Grey Cup Betting Odds and Top Game Heading Into Week 20 of the CFL Regular Season
TIER 1: Ticket punched
- Winnipeg Blue Bombers: +140
The champ is still number one for yet another week. Somehow the odds are better by the day, but they won’t be for long. They are already hosting the West Final so they are simply two wins away from immortality.
- Toronto Argonauts: +450
The Argonauts are heading into a pivotal two games series. They lead by one game and need one more win to clinch the east. This is the best value you will get for Toronto if you believe they will emerge victorious.
- B.C Lions: +450
Is Nathan Rourke coming back? Are their stars returning in time for the postseason? You just love to see it. With a Lions win or s Stampeders loss, they clinch second place and will host the West semi-final. This could be of great value!
- Calgary Stampeders: +500
The squad is solid, but they are currently fighting an uphill battle. Two top teams in front of them before they even make the Grey Cup. Could Jake Maier pull off a miracle? If you believe so, hold off on the bet because their odds will decrease.
- Montréal Alouettes: +900
The disrespect! The Alouettes have a key two games and they must win both if they look to take the division title away from Toronto. It is possible and likely. These are the best odds you will likely get for Montréal.
TIER 2: In the hunt
- Hamilton Tiger-Cats: +1200 and Saskatchewan Roughriders: +2000
These two are fighting for the final playoff spot. If Hamilton wins and Saskatchewan loses, Hamilton wins the final postseason spot. It is really anyone’s game. It does not seem likely either of these teams will win it all, but the value will be there for the team that wins the final spot.
TIER 3: Outside looking in
- Ottawa Redblacks: +20000 and Edmonton Elks: ELIMINATED
These teams have either been or are on the brink of elimination. If you bet on either of these teams earlier on then, you have wasted your money, so I hate to break it to you this way. You were warned not to bet on them, and as a result, you have lost your bet.
Week 20 Best Bets
- Toronto Argonauts vs Montréal Alouettes (+1.5)
In the one game, these two teams have played this year, Toronto hardly escaped with a one-point victory on a missed field goal. The Alouettes had their number all game and have only gotten better as the season progressed, so this is an excellent bet!
- Calgary Stampeders (-2.5) vs Saskatchewan Roughriders
The other games this week were not great to bet on. I do not love the fact the RIders benched Fajardo and as a result, will catch a loss eliminating them from postseason contention.
