Tulane at Houston

When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3:30 pm ET Where: TDECU Stadium, Houston, TX TV: CBSSN NCAA Football Odds: Houston -23 Analysis: All the trends, I mean all, point to a Houston cover in this game on Nov. 12. Tulane is 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 games following a straight up loss. The Green Wave is 1-4- 1 ATS in their last 7 conference games. They are also 3-7- 1 in their last 11 games versus a team with a winning record. Tulane is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss. The Green Wave is 0-3 ATS and SU in their last 3 games.

Houston has folded. After opening the season going 5-0 straight up, the Cougars have lost 2 out of their last 4 games. The loss to SMU, the Mustangs manhandled Houston 38 to 16, was one of the worst losses that I’ve ever seen a good team have ever since I started watching football.

The Cougars should play better now that the pressure is off. Houston’s best chance is to finish out the season with only 2 losses on their record, win the AAC, and march into a New Year’s Day Bowl Game as an underdog. When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3:30 pm ET Where: Maryland Stadium, College Park, MD TV: ESPN NCAA Football Odds: Ohio State -27.5 Analysis: After 2 straight games where the Buckeyes didn’t play nearly as well as they could have, Ohio State put the CFP Selection Committee on notice by beating up the previously 1-loss Nebraska Cornhuskers. As a -17- home favorite, Ohio State was supposed to beat Nebraska. But they weren’t supposed to beat Nebraska by as many points as they did. Ohio State put up 62 points against the Cornhuskers. They held Nebraska’s offense to only 3 points. There’s no reason to believe that Ohio State won’t repeat their effort against Nebraska versus Maryland on Saturday. Maryland isn’t as good as Nebraska. Wake Forest at 7 Louisville

When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 pm ET Where: Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, Louisville, KY NCAA Football Odds: Louisville -33 Analysis: Teams that are in the Top 10 can’t wait around. The Selection Committee comes out with new rankings every Tuesday from now until the final four in the College Football Playoff is set. What it means is that Louisville must cover the spread against Wake Forest. There’s no reason for the Cardinals to hold back. This isn’t like years past where a team could call off the dogs. With the Selection Committee making the decision, any time a team has a chance to score for style points, they have to score. I think that Louisville could reach 60 points against Wake Forest in this game while the best that Wake can do is 14 to 17. Louisville should cover ATS.
