Last season, we saw a lot of the familiar stops on the MotoGP tour removed from the schedule in the midst of the pandemic. We are seeing the majority of them return this season, which means that it is going to be a triumphant return to Germany for one of these riders. We are only about one-third of the way through the season at this point, so still plenty of time for someone to come from off the pace and take a run at winning a world championship. As it stands at the moment, there are only 2 riders who have accumulated more than 100 points this season, but might we see that change this weekend? MotoGP Betting Analysis for the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland

Fabio Quartararo

This is the second straight year in which Quartararo has got off to a flying start. The question now is whether he can maintain his current form or fall away like he did in 2020. Last season, Quartararo opened the season by winning the opening 2 races and had his 3^rd win by race 8. He looked like a very good bet to end the season as the world champion, but the wheels came off heading down the stretch, leaving him settling for 8^th overall. He already has 3 wins this season and has only finished outside the top 10 once to this point. He has only raced in Germany at the MotoGP level once, failing to finish that one.

Johann Zarco

Is it possible to win a world championship without winning a single race on the season? Johann Zarco, who is the other driver to have eclipsed the 100-point mark at this stage of the season, seems to be testing the limits of that question. After 7 races, one of which he was forced to retire from, that first win eludes him, but he has finished 2^nd no less than 4 times. Interestingly enough, this is his 5^th season in MotoGP and Zarco has yet to cross the finish line in 1^st. All of those 2^nd place finishes suggest that the breakthrough might soon be coming.

Jack Miller

Since moving up to MotoGP in 2015, Miller has been making steady, if somewhat unspectacular progress. His 7^th place overall finish last season was the best of his career, but he was still looking at just 1 career win, which came in 2016. It appears as though Miller has turned the corner in a big way, though, as he already has 2 wins this season and is coming off a 3^rd place finish in the Catalan Grand Prix last time out. His previous best finish in Germany is 6^th, but there is a very good chance he improves on that this weekend.

Francesco Bagnaia

Bagnaia finished his time in Moto2 by winning a world championship, but the transition to MotoGP has not been a smooth one to this point. Over his first 2 full seasons, he has 14 races whether he was either unable to start or forced to retire. He has also failed to pick up a win in that time, and while he is still looking to break his goose egg, he has been consistently good this season. He has already been on the podium 3 times in 2021.
