MotoGP Guru by Gryfyn de España Betting Favorites, Analysis & Prediction

In sports there is something to be said for playing in front of your home fans, but does that translate to the world of motorsports, where the roar of the engine essentially blocks out the people watching an event? I guess we might get an answer this weekend when MotoGP heads to Spain, with a couple of Spanish racers currently sitting in the top 4 in the championship standings. Spanish riders have always been among the best in this sport, so even if one of them does win this weekend, it may well have nothing to do with racing at home. With all of that said, let’s take a look at the MotoGP betting analysis and some of the potential favorites for the MotoGP Guru by Gryfyn de Espana.

Marco Bezzecchi

If we are being honest, it’s more than a little surprising to see Bezzecchi sitting atop the rider standings at the moment. This is his 2nd full season with MotoGP, with his first not particularly setting the world alight. He finished the 2022 season in 14th overall, failing to win a race and having just 1 podium finish. He did not have to wait long for his first MotoGP win this season, though, winning in Round 2 in Argentina. He also has a podium finish through the opening 3 races, but can he maintain this pace? He ran 9th in this race last season.

Francesco Bagnaia

Much like Bezzecchi, Bagnaia had a slow start to life in MotoGP, finishing outside the top 10 in his first 2 seasons after winning the Moto2 World Championship. That now seems like a very long time ago, as Bagnaia ran 2nd overall in his 3rd full season before winning it all in 2022. He is, once again, out to a good start, winning the opening race of the season, although he did leave points on the track after being forced to retire in the last race. Bagnaia has a win and a 2nd place finish in his last 2 runs on this track, so he has to be the favorite here.

Alex Rins

Rins may well be one of the most consistent racers to not have won a world championship. He has been close on several occasions, finishing in the top 5 in 3 of the last 5 seasons. After a pair of top 10 finishes to start the 2023 season, Rins really got going at the Circuit of the Americas in the last race on the MotoGP schedule, taking the checkered flag to move into the top 3 in the racer standings. This has not been a track that has been kind to Rins, so taking him to win might be a risk.

Maverick Vinales

Vinales is another racer who has been consistently good without going all the way and winning a World Championship. Might this be the season where that changes? Vinales is certainly off to a very decent start, getting on the podium in Round 1 before bouncing back from a tough race in Argentina to crack the top 5 at the Circuit of the Americas. He does have a 3rd place finish in his past in this race, and while a win might be a bridge too far this weekend, a top 5 finish is certainly not.
