Klay Thompson (Golden State) 7/2

Now in his fifth season, Thompson is shooting a stellar 43.0 percent from beyond the arc while never making less than 41.4 percent of his three-point attempts in his career. When Thompson gets in the corner, he drains 45.0 percent of his three-point attempts, making him one of the best bets to bag this year’s title.

JJ Redick (L.A. Clippers) 5/1

While Curry and Thompson get the lion’s share of national media attention for their sweet shooting and Golden State’s winning ways, it is the Clippers’ J.J. Redick that leads the league in three-point shooting percentage (47.8) Redick shoots an insane 55.3 percent on corner threes and could undoubtedly take down either Curry or Thompson to win this title.

Devin Booker (Phoenix) 11/2

The Suns’ sweet-shooting rookie has made an impressive 40.7 percent of his three-point attempts this season and a blistering 46.2 percent when he shoots corner threes. Booker is playing just over 22 minutes per night for the Suns, but I’m thinking he’ll be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of star power at the all-star game.

Kyle Lowry (Toronto) 11/2

I love my Philly homeboy Kyle Lowry and I believe he’s one of the best point guards in the game today. Having said that, let me also say that I’m a bit surprised that Lowry was invited to perform in the three-point shootout. The Raptors’ stellar two-way point guard is making 39.7 percent of his threes this season and a stunning 47.1 percent on corner treys, but he’s also never made 40 percent of his three-point attempts in 11 seasons in the league.

James Harden (Houston) 8/1

James Harden is definitely a sweet-shooter, but he’s not quite as accurate as you might think from downtown. Harden is shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and just 20.5 percent on corner threes. Now in his seventh season in the league, Harden has never made 40 percent of his three-point attempts.

Khris Middleton (Milwaukee) 8/1

The Milwaukee Bucks small forward has shot at least 40.6 percent from beyond the arc in three straight seasons and shoots a solid 45.3 percent on corner threes. I like Khris Middleton’s versatility which allows him to guard three positions, but I just don’t think of him as an outside shooter despite his ability to hit from distance.

Chris Bosh (Miami) 12/1

I really respect Chris Bosh, but the fact of the matter is that he shouldn’t be competing in this event. The Miami Heat big man is making a solid 36.8 percent of his three-point attempts this season, but he’s only reached the 40 percent mark once in 13 seasons and is a career 33.6 percent shooter from beyond the arc.Overall Analysis: With the way the Golden State Warriors are seemingly winning everything this season, I’m going to back the Clippers’ J.J. Redick to bring home the three-point title this year.As previously stated, Redick, not Steph Curry or Klay Thompson, has been the best three-point shooter in the league this season and I believe he’s going to both, stop Curry from winning consecutive titles, while bagging his first!
