Best Bet On and Bet Against NBA Teams

Written by on March 8, 2016

With Week 19 of the 2015-16 season moving right along with a full slate of NBA betting action tonight, pro basketball bettors everywhere need to know which ballclubs are looking like great teams to wager on and which ones to either wager against or avoid all together. With that said, here s a look at the best and worst teams to wager on over the course of the coming week.

Best Bet On and Bet Against NBA Teams

Bet On

Atlanta The Hawks (35-28 SU, 32-30-1 ATS) have won two straight and four of their last five games while covering the NBA betting line in five straight. The Hawks took out the Clippers by 10 points on Saturday night to cash in as a 5.5-point road dog and have two‘winnable’ dates against Utah and Memphis on tap for this week. Miami  The Heat (37-26 SU, 34-28-1 ATS) have won five straight games while covering the spread in four straight, though they had their ATS winning streak snapped in their 103-98 win over Philly on Sunday. Miami is 8-2 SU and ATS over their last 10 games and has been playing fantastic basketball since acquiring veteran shooting guard Joe Johnson just over week ago. Young Milwaukee and struggling Chicago are up next for Miami this week. Charlotte The Hornets (33-28 SU, 32-28-1 ATS) have won three straight and four of their last five games while covering the spread in each SU win, including their 108-101 over Indiana on Friday. Charlotte has compiled a blistering 8-2 SU and ATS mark over their last 10 games as they desperately try to secure a berth in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Bet Against

Utah While the Jazz (29-33 SU, 29-33 ATS) managed to get past New Orleans on Saturday, Utah has struggled mightily in dropping each of their previous five games and seven of nine overall while going 1-8 ATS over the stretch. Tough dates against the Hawks, Warriors and Wizards await this week. Oklahoma City The Thunder (43-20 SU, 23-37-1 ATS) are suddenly making a bad habit out of losing near 20-point leads like they’re going out of style. Oklahoma City managed to beat Milwaukee on Sunday night, but Kevin Durant and company are just 4-5-1 ATS over their last 10 games, continuing their season-long struggle to cover the spread. Dates against the Clippers, T-Wolves and Spurs are on tap for the coming week. Houston The Rockets (31-32 SU, 27-36 ATS) have won two of their last three games, but I’m not impressed and you shouldn’t be either, particularly seeing as how James Harden and company are just 1-4 ATS over their last five games and still don’t play a lick of defense. Philly, Boston and Charlotte are on the schedule for the coming week. Chicago The Bulls (31-30 SU, 24-37 ATS) managed to snap a four-game skid by beating the aforementioned Rockets on Saturday night, but the Bulls look nothing like the defensive juggernaut they had been under previous head coach Tom Thibodeau and are giving up points this season like they’re going out of style. The Bucks, Spurs and Heat await this coming week.
