Updated 2017 NBA Post Season Odds & Betting Predictions

Now that the 2016-17 NBA postseason heading into its second round in a mere matter of days, basketball bettors like you need to know what the latest NBA betting odds to win both conference crowns and the NBA championship are currently looking like. In addition to that, a few postseason predictions couldn’t hurt either.

Here’s A Closer Look At The Updated 2017 NBA Post Season Odds & Betting Predictions

Eastern Conference

Cleveland Cavaliers 5/16 Boston Celtics 6/1 Toronto Raptors 8/1 Washington Wizards 8/1 Milwaukee Bucks 60/1 Atlanta Hawks 100/1 Chicago Bulls 200/1

Analysis: The Cleveland Cavaliers are the clear-cut favorites to win the Eastern Conference and it’s understandable, seeing a how they still have LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, but the Cavs don’t look like locks even after sweeping Indiana in the first round.

The Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards are the next three favorites and many hoops expert believe all three team could potentially challenge Cleveland for conference supremacy. However, I’m here to say that Toronto will get bounced by LeBron and company in the second round, while the winner of the Boston vs. Washington second round semifinal showdown will likely take the Cavs the distance before falling in seven.

Western Conference

Golden State Warriors 1/5 San Antonio Spurs 6/1 Houston Rockets 17/2 Utah Jazz 50/1 Los Angeles Clippers 125/1 Memphis Grizzlies 200/1

Analysis: Out west, everything is smooth sailing for the Golden State Warriors at 1/5 odds as they swept Portland in the first round in emphatic fashion – and mostly without Kevin Durant. The Dubs will face the winner of the Clippers/Jazz series (It’ll be Utah) and I don’t foresee any problems for Steph Curry and company in the semifinal round no matter which team they play.

In the other semifinal matchup, the Houston Rockets at a value-packed 17/2 odds, are lying in wait for the winner of the Spurs/Grizzlies series (it’ll be San Antonio) and right now, I’m thinking whichever team it is could be in trouble against the explosive Rockets. In the end though, the smart money is on Golden State even though the 1/5 odds aren’t real attractive.

NBA Finals

Analysis: With Cleveland and Golden State meeting for the third consecutive season, you might be tempted to back the Cavaliers at their more attractive 16/5 odds, but I’m here to warn you not to do it!

Golden State has the look of a team on an absolute mission right now and I believe they will accomplish their stated goal of winning this season’s NBA championship. The Dubs and Cavaliers met twice during the regular season and f those two meetings is any indication, the Cleveland is in trouble in the NBA Finals.

While Golden State lost at Cleveland 109-108 on Christmas Day while failing to cover the spread as a 3.5-point road favorite, the Dubs uncharacteristically blew a 7-point lead entering the fourth quarter that day to lose a nail-biter. However, Golden State showed their dominance by spanking the Cavs 126-91 just a few weeks later on Jan. 16 while outscoring their rivals by 15 points in the first quarter, 14 points in the second quarter and 11 points in the final frame.

The addition of Kevin Durant to Golden State’s trio of all-stars has made them virtually unbeatable whether you want to hear that or not. I’m fully expecting the Warrior to win their second NBA Championship in three seasons and you should too!
