The Pac-12 regular-season race looks like a two-horse chase between Arizona, which is the only unbeaten team in conference play, and No. 13 Oregon, which is just a game back. The Ducks should have little trouble on Thursday against an Arizona State side that’s one of the Pac-12’s worst teams and a big underdog. But up next is Arizona. Here’s a look at the NCAAB lines preview.

Why Bet On Arizona State?

The Sun Devils lost 91-83 to Washington State on Sunday. For teams with almost identical below-average records, ASU badly needed a win at home but could not play well enough on either end to secure its first Pac-12 weekend sweep in the two-year Bobby Hurley era.“I have to take responsibility when my team doesn’t play well,” Hurley said. His starters are “getting great individual success, but it’s got to translate into making plays in key parts of games so we have a chance to win. That’ll be the next step. It's a tough loss. This one is going to sting, it being a pivotal game for both teams.”Washington State quickly erased a 40-37 halftime deficit to lead 63-56 with 11:54 left. The Cougars shot 58.6 percent in the second half, making 10 of their first 12 shots, and finished with a 22-6 edge in fast-break points. ASU made 21-of- 25 (.840) from the free throw line but was just 10-of- 29 (.345) from three, while the Cougars were 10-of- 19 from three and shot .526 (30-of- 57) from the floor, including 17-of- 29 (.586) in the second half. ASU junior guard Tra Holder scored a career-high with 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 38 minutes of play. It marked his 11th 20-point game of the season. The 81.7 points per game posted by ASU is its best since the 1997-98 squad averaged 84.5, as ASU ranks second in the Pac-12 in scoring and third in free throw shooting (.748). ASU is averaging just 11.0 turnovers (third in the league) and 9.9 three-pointers made, second in the Pac-12.

Why Bet On Oregon?

The Ducks have a 17-game winning streak snapped Saturday in a 74-65 loss at Colorado. Payton Pritchard’s unbeaten run as Oregon’s starting point guard lasted 67 days. The winning streak started when Pritchard moved into the starting lineup for a 69-65 overtime win over Tennessee in the Maui Invitational on Nov. 22.“Obviously we are disappointed, we don’t want to lose,” Pritchard said. “We will head home and work on some stuff to get ready for the week ahead. It is one loss and we have to move on to the next (game).”Colorado hit its first four three-point attempts and rode that momentum to the win. The loss ended Oregon’s school-record winning streak at 17 games, and kept the Ducks (19-3, 8-1) winless all time in Boulder (0-7). It did not help the Ducks’ cause that three players fouled out and Oregon was whistled for a season-high 25 fouls.Oregon had shot at least 44 percent from the field in 16 straight games but dropped to 38.6 against Colorado, including an 8-for- 27 performance in the second half. Nearly 60 percent of Oregon’s shots were three-pointers, of which they were 11 for 34. The only time Oregon attempted more three-pointers was the 35 it hoisted in a 128-59 victory over Savannah State.Chris Boucher attempted just two field goals inside the three-point line, his fewest of the season. His only shot during 13 minutes in the second half was a three. Jordan Bell was 3 for 6 from the field, his second-fewest attempts in the past 11 games. He failed to make more shots than he missed for the first time since going 4 for 9 against USC on Dec. 30.ASU is 7-7 overall against the Ducks in past 14 meetings. The Ducks and ASU split a pair in 2013-14, but Oregon swept the series in 2014-15 and then won the lone meeting last year 91-74 in Tempe. ASU is 9-10 against UO in past 10 years, going 3-6 in Eugene, 5-3 in Tempe and 0-1 in the Pac-10 Tournament.
