How to Bet Arizona vs Oregon College Basketball Odds & Game Info

Arizona vs Oregon Last Season

Oregon won both meetings a season ago, including a 73-47 rout at home. Louis King scored 14 points and Oregon used two 12-0 runs in the second half to dominate the Wildcats. Payton Pritchard and Will Richardson added 12 points each and Francis Okoro had 10 for the Ducks, who outscored Arizona 42-16 in the second half after being tied at the break.

Oregon held the Wildcats to 19.2 percent shooting in the second half, including 1 of 12 from 3-point range. Meanwhile, the Ducks shot 57.7 percent after halftime. The Wildcats have not won at Oregon since the 2014-15 season.

Why Bet on Arizona?

The Wildcats (11-3) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 75-47 home rout of Arizona State on Saturday. Zeke Nnaji had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Arizona. The Wildcats had a size advantage inside and used it, outscoring Arizona State 50-18 in the paint. Arizona also repeatedly raced past the Sun Devils, outscoring them 25-9 in fast-break points to quickly turn the rivalry game into a rout.

Arizona State generated almost no inside game against Arizona’s length and struggled to get anything to fall from anywhere. The Sun Devils shot 31%, went 3 for 21 from 3-point range and were 8 of 19 on free throws.

Seven-foot raw freshman Christian Koloko is proved he’s already capable of contributing at the Pac-12 level. The freshman had eight points, six rebounds, and a block in just 11 minutes in Arizona’s conference opener vs. ASU. Koloko’s ability to rebound and challenge shots gives Arizona’s defense a different dimension. He’s racking up 4.9 blocks per 40 minutes, more than three times as many as the next UA player. The Wildcats are allowing just 81.1 points per 100 possessions when Koloko is on the court, the best mark on the team. Arizona’s 49.2 FG% is 13th-best in the country while their FG% defense is ranked 17th nationally (37.4%).

On the Road

Elsewhere, two-time Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, Zeke Nnaji is shooting 69.6 percent from the floor this year (3rd nationally). He is connecting at an 80.6 percent clip at the free throw line, the best of anyone in the country listed at 6-foot 11-inches or taller.

As for this game, Coach Sean Miller isn’t all that upset about heading on the road; a trip to Oregon State is next this weekend. It will be the longest road trip of the season for the Wildcats by total days.

“I actually think a road trip for us at this time is a good thing,” Miller said. “We’ve been in Tucson for quite some time. It kind of changes the scenery. We’ve got to play nine road games anyway, so might as well get going.”

Why Bet on Oregon?

The Ducks (12-3) were 69-64 winners at Utah on Saturday. Shakur Juiston and Chandler Lawson each made a pair of layups in an 8-2 run after Utah took its final lead to clinch the game for Oregon. Payton Pritchard, who passed UO hall of famer Ron Lee on the Ducks’ career assists list on Saturday, led Oregon with 19 points, while Chris Duarte and Will Richardson each scored 14.

Chandler Lawson led Oregon with eight rebounds while Duarte grabbed seven and Richardson and Juiston each had six as the Ducks outrebounded the Utes 41-36. Pritchard and Richardson each had five assists as the Ducks had 19 assists on 30 field goals.

On the season, the Ducks have shot 50 percent or better seven times, and are 12-1 when hitting at least 40 percent from the field. Richardson leads the Pac-12 in three-point field goal percentage (.545).

Important Names & Numbers

Pritchard passed UO Hall of Famer Ron Lee (572/1972-76) on the assists list. Pritchard finished the game with (571) assists and now trails only Kenya Wilkins (614/1993-97) for the Ducks’ career record. With another 18 rebounds and 24 assists, Pritchard will become the first player in Pac-12 history with 1,500 career points, 500 career rebounds and 600 career assists (Utah’s Andre Miller also reached those career totals prior to the Utes’ joining the Pac-12).

Arizona vs Oregon is going to be a close one.

Pritchard is one of only four players nationally – and the only Power 6 player – averaging at least 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. He has started 124 consecutive games, a streak that leads the NCAA. Pritchard came off the bench his first four games as a freshman before moving into the starting lineup for the last 124 in a row.

Under Dana Altman, Oregon is 171-20 when holding opponents under 70 points, including a 136-12 mark the last six seasons. Oregon played arguably the most difficult nonconference schedule in the nation this season. The Ducks’ five games nonconference against top-15 teams lead the nation. The Ducks have wins over three top-13 teams so far in 2019-20. All three top-15 wins came away from home – a resume point that only Oregon can claim.
