Let’s get the day started with an ACC matchup between a pair of teams who look very evenly matched. This will actually be a rematch of the final game of the regular season, with Syracuse winning that one by a score of 72-63 on home court. Both teams finished the season at 10-10 in conference play, so both need to be considered a longshot heading into the conference tournament, although getting a win here might just spark a positive run. I’m actually giving the slight edge to Wake Forest in this one.

Like we mentioned earlier, the top teams in the conference will play later in the week, but what we get in the early stages are matchups that really could go either way. These two teams ended the season with the exact same conference (8-12) and regular season (16-15) records, so there is very little between them. The one thing that stands out here is that the Washington won both regular season meetings, but beating the same team 3 times in a single season is no easy task.

You might look at the overall records of these two teams and see this matchup as a foregone conclusion, but that might be a mistake. Wyoming went just 4-14 in conference play and 9-21 on the regular season, well off the 21-10 record set by New Mexico Lobos. That said, these two teams split their regular season series, with Wyoming actually blowing New Mexico out on the road last month. While I still think New Mexico will get the win here, this might be closer than a lot of people expect.

Oklahoma Sooners vs Oklahoma State Cowboys

Like we said earlier, reeling off 3 in a row against the same team in a single season is never easy, but you have to like the Cowboys to get the job done here.
