Georgetown vs #8 Xavier Betting Analysis, and 2 Great Weekend Matches

As is customary in college basketball, this weekend is absolutely loaded with games. That is especially true on Saturday, but there are some intriguing Sunday contests to look forward to as well. Here, we look at the top-three games worth betting on this weekend in college hoops, as there are chances to find value from bigger conferences and some of the smallest in the country. Let’s get right to it so you don’t miss your chance to bet on the College Basketball Odds.

Hottest Bets for the Biggest Games this Weekend!

Saturday: Georgetown vs Xavier

In their last game, the Xavier Musketeers could not get their offense going against DePaul. They were upset on the road by the Blue Demons, with DePaul securing just their second top-10 win in the last 15 years. This weekend, expect Xavier to get back on track and to take their frustrations out on a Georgetown team that has been among the worst in the Big East for a sustained period of time.

Georgetown is just 5-14 this season, and they are 0-8 in Big East play, putting them in last place in the league. As a result, we are going to see a big point spread figure ahead of this contest. But it is worth laying that big number with Xavier, who are likely to fall out of the top-10 in the rankings, but will end their week on a high note by destroying the Hoyas.

Saturday: Robert Morris vs Green Bay

Another team that has really struggled in college basketball this season is Green Bay, who are 2-18 on the season so far. They are 1-8 in Horizon League competition, ranking ahead of only the IUPUI Jaguars in the conference standings thus far. Here, they host the Robert Morris Colonials, who have not been great this season either, but should be able to take care of business comfortably in Green Bay.

Defense has been the issue for the Phoenix all season long, as they are allowing nearly 78 points per game to their opponents in a conference not known for offensive firepower. They have lost three straight games by at least 16 points, and we should see that streak extended to four in a row against Robert Morris here.

Sunday: Bryant vs UMass Lowell

Finally, we look to the tiny America East conference for our last betting opportunity to take advantage of in college basketball this weekend. On Sunday, the UMass Lowell River Hawks host the Bryant Bulldogs, in what will be one of the games of the year in a conference that perpetually receives just one NCAA Tournament bid. Here, the home team is an excellent value to pick up a win and to remain the class of their conference so far on the year.

Lowell is 16-4 overall this season and an impressive 4-2 in conference play, with wins over Vermont and UMBC already on their resume. Here, they will take advantage of the lack of effective size on the Bryant roster, as Abdoul Karim Coulibaly will continue his reign of terror over the rest of the conference on the interior. Expect Lowell to cover the number and to remain one of the best mid-major teams in the country.
