The Oklahoma State Cowboys will look to snap a two-game home losing streak when they host sixth-ranked Kansas on Tuesday night. Kansas picked up a win on Saturday in a squeaker while Oklahoma State picked up a convincing win after five consecutive narrow finishes. Okay MyBookie college basketball betting faithful, let’s find out which team is offering the best value against their College Basketball odds in this contest.

College Basketball Predictions – No. 6 Kansas at Oklahoma State

Why Bet On No. 6 Kansas

Sixth-ranked Kansas (4-1 Big 12) has won two straight and 10 of 11, but the Jayhawks needed a late game-winner to get past Oklahoma 63-59 on Saturday. After a poor first half that saw them down 33-31 at the break, Kansas took control late and got the game-clinching basket from 6-10 junior big man David McCormack with 12.8 seconds remaining.

“When coaches say they didn’t play well,” Self said, “it makes it look like you’re not giving the other team credit. I think Oklahoma was prepared and had a lot to do with us not playing well, but I thought we absolutely stunk the first half.”

McCormack finished with a team-high 17 points while junior guard Ochai Agbaji added 14 points to help the Jayhawks avoid consecutive losses in Allen Fieldhouse for the first time since their first season under former head coach Roy Williams in 1988-89.

“You know,” Self said, “considering we didn’t really make any free throws and didn’t shoot the ball particularly well, we came out and played better in the second half. … It’s a pretty good win considering they got easy stuff and we didn’t.”

The Jayhawks have gone 2-0 on the road this season and 2-1 in three neutral site games.

Why Bet On Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State (2-3 Big 12) bounced back from its crushing 87-84 home loss against No. 14 West Virginia in its previous game to get past K-State 70-54 on Saturday. Junior guard Isaac Likekele scored a team-high 15 points and added nine rebounds to lead the way to victory. The Cowboys drained 13 consecutive shots to close out the game, starting with a layup by Likekele with 13:03 remaining. Oklahoma State dropped three of its previous four games but each contest was decided by a single possession or in overtime. The four games were decided by a grand total of 12 points. The Cowboys have dropped two straight at home this season after winning their first three at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Expert Analysis and Prediction

Kansas might be the sixth-ranked team in the nation, but I’m just not overly impressed with the Jayhawks this season.  Kansas has shot it well from three-point range, but from the field, the Jayhawks have been underwhelming while ranking 181st nationally in field goal shooting percentage.

On the flip side of the coin, Oklahoma State has been surprisingly competitive through 12 games. Prior to beating K-State on Saturday, the Cowboys lost to No. 4 Texas by three points before beating No. 18 Texas Tech 82-77 in overtime. Oklahoma State then nearly took out No. 14 West Virginia before losing 87-84.

I see no reason why the Cowboys won’t show up in this matchup against Kansas and I suspect the Cowboys would love to make a statement about just how real they are. Kansas is 1-2 ATS over its last three games and 4-5 ATS on the season. Oklahoma State has gone 3-1 ATS over its last four and 5-4-1 ATS over its last 10 games overall.

I feel an upset brewing in this one as the Cowboys get the big win behind freshman star Cade Cunningham. The almost unanimous player to be the first pick in the 2021 NBA draft is coming off a poor performance and will be looking to ‘show out’ against the Jayhawks in this affair.

Pick: Oklahoma State 79 Kansas 75
