Every year during the NCAA Tournament there are long shots that pull off surprises in the NCAA Tournament. There are teams during this year’s tournament that will become a surprise in the tournament. Longshots Likely to Become a Surprise this March Madness

Dayton Plays Some Defense

The Dayton Flyers come into the game listed at +6600 to win the NCAA tournament. Archie Miller and his Flyers are really, really good. The Flyers are leading the Atlantic 10 Conference and have some of the best offensive firepower in the country. Look for Dayton to play tough defense, and be able to score when needed. Do not count out the Flyers when it comes to winning games this coming March.

Is Miami REALLY a Longshot?

Miami Hurricanes come into the tournament listed at +3300 to win the NCAA Tournament. Not many are talking about the Hurricanes, because North Carolina, Virginia and even Duke are getting all the love out of the Atlantic Coast Conference. This Hurricanes team is more disciplined than any in the last decade or so, and they have had some good teams. They appear to be a longshot, but don’t be surprised if you see the folks from South Beach still around late in the tournament.

Oregon Could Make a Run

The Oregon Ducks have been up and down a little bit lately. They are going to the tournament out of the Pac-12, but they are tough to play. They way they run their offense is difficult for teams that have yet to see them. That makes them a tough out once March arrives. The problem with the Ducks is they will rely on their shooting, but if they get hot, they are a long shot you will see make a nice March Madness tournament run.

Syracuse Always Performs Come March

Syracuse Orange are playing their best basketball as February moves along. The Orange are competing at a high level, and we have seen what Jim Boeheim’s teams have done in past March Madness trips. The Orange appear to be a likely shot at getting in the tournament following their latest win streak. Syracuse is listed at +6600 which is pretty good odds to take for the Orange to win a couple tournament games.

Surprised West Virginia is +4000

West Virginia – it’s a little surprising that the Mountaineers, who have been near or at the top of the Big 12 is such a long shot to win the tournament. West Virginia is listed at +4000. That’s a pretty good team that is a long shot. The Mountaineers can not only score, but this season they have improved big time on the defensive side. Look out for the Mountaineers come March. There are some long shots that are likely to become a surprise when March Madness arrives. Best of luck with all your tournament betting!
