How To Bet Texas A&M vs Missouri

Written by on February 25, 2016

If we had to pick a theme for this season’s NCAA basketball action, it would have to be that it’s tough at the top. There have been a merry go round of teams in the number one spot, as well as a number of teams that have come close, only to see it all slip away with a series of defeats. The Texas A&M Aggies were running away with the SEC at one point in the season, but they went on a run that saw them take a ridiculous drop in the standings. They appear to have righted the ship in College Station, but will want to continue their current strong play all the way to the end of the season in order to head into March Madness carrying a decent head of steam. They appear to have a pretty straightforward task ahead of them on Saturday, but they are well aware that upsets can and do happen. The full NCAAB betting odds for this one will be up shortly.

Why bet on the Texas A&M Aggies

The month of February turned into a bit of a disaster for the Aggies (21-7, 10-5), as they went on a run that saw them lose 4 straight games. They could have very easily folded and allowed their season to vanish without a trace, but this team has dug deep and found a way to start winning again. They come into this one having won 3 in a row, including a 79-77 OT win over a ranked Kentucky team. This game against Missouri is one that they should be able to win comfortably, if their last meeting is any indication of how these two stack up. The Aggies won that one by 13 points, although it did come on home court, where they have been very good all season long. Texas A&M are averaging 75.7 PPG, and are giving up 65.8 PPG.

Why bet on the Missouri Tigers

Let’s not try and sugarcoat this, the Tigers (10-18, 3-12) have been an unmitigated disaster this season, especially in how they have performed in conference play. If there is any glimmer of hope for this game, it’s that the Tigers very recently found a way to string together back to back wins against South Carolina and Tennessee. They were unable to build on that, though, and followed it up with a pair of losses. They have not been very competitive against ranked opponents this season, and that is a trend that I think we will see continue this coming weekend. The Tiger are averaging 68.4 PPG, and are giving up 72.0 PPG.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

As mentioned earlier, the Aggies were dominant when they faced Missouri earlier in the season. I don’t see this one being that much different, and like A&M to come away with a comfortable double digit win.
