NFL Week 11 Over/Under Picks

We have now reached the portion of the NFL season where we will start to see teams falling right out of playoff contention. There are several who are on the brink heading into Week 11, including the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles, who are below .500 and out of the playoffs right now. There is still some time for these teams to right some wrongs and get in, but a very little margin for error. We have taken a quick look at the Week 11 schedule and come up with some O/U picks for the weekend. We will also have SU and ATS picks coming your way, so check back in for those NFL odds selections.

NFL Week 11 Over/Under Picks

Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks (OVER 49)

The Green Bay Packers come into Week 11 with a surprisingly mediocre 4-4-1 record but making matters even worse if the fact that they have yet to pick up a win on the road this season. Perhaps even more surprising is seeing the Seahawks with a losing record in their own building this season, something that we have not seen in recent years.

This is a crucial game for both, so I expect this Thursday night tilt to be an offensively minded affair. The Packers have seen 13 of their last 16 games on the road go OVER the point total, so I think we may see more of the same here.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Seattle’s last 8 games

Carolina Panthers at Detroit Lions (OVER 52)

Despite getting hammered by the Pittsburgh Steelers last Thursday night, the Panthers are still in a good position in the NFC playoff race. Given how well the Saints are playing, it’s looking more and more as though Carolina will need to go the Wild Card route, so they cannot really afford any more slip-ups.

They look like a very good bet this coming Sunday on the road to a Detroit team that seems to already be waving the white flag and giving up on the season. 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two have gone OVER, so let’s go that route again.

  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Carolina’s last 8 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 9 of Detroit’s last 13 games at home

Oakland Raiders at Arizona Cardinals (OVER 40 ½)

With a combined 3 win between them this season, this is not a match-up that is going to make anyone particularly excited. While it may not be the most exciting game to watch this weekend, I do think that we have a chance to make some money on this one.

The Cardinals are favorites for NFL Week 11 against the Raiders.

Everything here would seem to point to the under, but I think that the 40 ½ points are actually a little on the low side. 4 of the last 6 meetings between these two have gone OVER, and while neither offense is really clicking, we are also looking at two very poor defensive units.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 13 of Oakland’s last 16 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Arizona’s last 7 games at home

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (OVER 45 ½)

Looking ahead to Week 11, I am not really seeing very many games where the under looks good to me. Initially, I had looked at this one as a possibility, but the recent trends seem to indicate that this one could slip over the 45 ½ point total.

In 5 of their last 6 games this season, the Bears have seen the total go OVER, while 4 of Minnesota’s last 5 games on the road have also gone the same way. While the meetings between these two have trended under, I think recent performances would indicate the OVER in this one.
