NFL 2021 Season: Browns vs Ravens Betting Analysis & Prediction

NFL 2021 Season: Browns vs Ravens Betting Analysis & Prediction

The Cleveland Browns will take on the Baltimore Ravens on the road this week as both teams continue to charge towards the AFC North title.

At 7-3, the Ravens currently control the division; meanwhile, the Browns are in last place, though they are only 1.5 games back at 6-5. Both teams rebounded last week after facing losses before, setting the stage for a momentous contest near the Inner Harbor.

The slate of Thanksgiving games may get the most press throughout the week, but the battle for the AFC North is one of, if not the most exciting game on the schedule in week 12.

Here’s a look at what to expect from the teams. Let’s jump right into action so you make your bets against their NFL odds.

NFL Betting Preview for Cleveland Browns at Baltimore

The Cleveland Browns Betting Analysis

The Cleveland Browns have been dealing with injuries to every position on their roster throughout the season. Various blows to Baker Mayfield appear to be the biggest points of concern; for a while, he is still playing, he has done so at a very low level in recent weeks.

The Browns’ defense has also been hit or miss, allowing as many opponents (two) to score over 40 points as they held under 10. Both Malik Jackson and Jadeveon Clowney are questionable heading into the weekend, resulting in a weakened frontline attack against one of the better-running teams in the league.

Typically, the Browns can win when they control the clock and are productive on the ground. However, they are facing a very similar team philosophically this week, which will force every possession to be emphasized even more.

The Baltimore Ravens Betting Analysis

Lamar Jackson is expected to return to the Ravens’ lineup after an illness held him out of action last weekend. Baltimore managed to beat the Chicago Bears 16-13 without the former MVP winner, though they did not look anywhere near their usual self.

Although the Ravens are still a run-dominant team, they have introduced new wrinkles to their passing game, making them less predictable, as seen during a 442-yard passing explosion from Jackson against the Indianapolis Colts

The defense has not been as airtight as in years past, though it is still serviceable if nothing else. Their performances have been quite impressive, considering that Marcus Peters has not been there all season, and they are coming off of one of their best outings all year.

The Odds

The Ravens are -190 favorites on the Moneyline and -3.5 (-110) on the spread; Cleveland is +160 on the Moneyline and +3.5 (-110) on the spread. The points total has been set at 46.5, with (-110) odds on the over and the under.

Because Jackson is healthier than Mayfield, and the teams are relatively similar in other roster areas, the advantage lies with the Ravens. These two teams do not like each other, and Cleveland has enjoyed recent success over Baltimore, but the latter is still rightfully expected to come out on top.
