Why Bet on Buffalo?

The Bills (4-2) beat San Francisco 45-16 last week. LeSean McCoy had 140 yards rushing and matched a career high by scoring three times. Tyrod Taylor threw two touchdown passes in helping Buffalo win four straight for the first time since the start of the 2008 season. The 49ers allowed 312 yards rushing — Buffalo’s best outing since 1992. The Bills blew the game open by scoring 21 points over a span of 7:02 straddling the third and fourth quarters.Ryan said McCoy’s knee is “totally fine.” The injury forced McCoy to miss a handful of snaps late in the first half Sunday against the 49ers, but he returned after halftime and was able to score his third touchdown of the game. McCoy has also scored six touchdowns from scrimmage since Week 3, second-most to Arizona’s David Johnson.McCoy is outpacing Bills legend Thurman Thomas’ rushing production from the Hall of Fame running back’s MVP season. McCoy has 587 yards and six rushing touchdowns through six games; Thomas had 556 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns over his first six games in 1991.Ryan said there’s no timetable for Pro Bowl nose tackle Marcell Dareus’ return from a hamstring injury. Dareus has sat out the last two games after injuring his hamstring at practice. The former All-Pro has yet to see the field in 2016 after serving a four-game suspension. Bills first-round DE/OLB Shaq Lawson (shoulder) will return to practice on Wednesday. Lawson is eligible to come off the PUP list following offseason shoulder surgery, though Ryan couldn't say with 100 percent certainty that he'll be active Sunday against Miami.

For the first time since Week 1, Tannehill didn’t have a turnover. Miami’s offensive line, boosted by the return of left tackle Branden Albert and rookie left guard Laremy Tunsil, kept Tannehill clean and created holes in the running game.Embattled cornerback Byron Maxwell did a solid job helping slow Steelers Pro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown, who had just four catches for 39 yards. Brown was visibly frustrated in the second half as Miami’s defense held the Steelers’ high-powered offense to just seven points in the second half. Coaches have urged Maxwell the past few weeks to step up his game. Miami is thin at cornerback with injuries to rookie starter Xavien Howard (knee) and veteran Chris Culliver (knee) still on the physically unable to perform list.Some bad news from that game as Pro Bowl safety Reshad Jones suffered a torn rotator cuff. The potential loss of Jones, who is getting a second opinion on whether he needs season-ending surgery, would be a major blow for Miami’s 28th-rated defense. Jones is second on the team with 51 tackles, and he picked up his first interception of the season off Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on Sunday. Last season Jones led Miami in tackles (135) and interceptions (five) on his way to his first Pro Bowl.
