But of course the Bolts moved to L.A. and the Raiders will move to Las Vegas in a few years. There’s no current NFL lines here until the status of Raiders QB Derek Carr is finalized. The Raiders swept last year, winning each by a field goal as the Chargers imploded late like they usually do. The Chargers trail the all-time series 63-50-2, with the Raiders holding a 31-25-1 advantage at home.  Oakland has won the last four overall. NFL Week 6 Parlay Betting Picks & Game Previews

Why Bet On LA Chargers?

They got their first win of the season last week, 27-22 at the Giants. Philip Rivers threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Melvin Gordon with 2:58 to play. The touchdown pass was Rivers’ third of the game and came three plays after Kyle Emanuel had a sack, forced fumble and recovery against Eli Manning at the Giants 11-yard line. The Chargers ended a nine-game losing streak dating to late November. Gordon was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. He rushed for 105 yards on 20 carriers and also added 58 receiving yards, finishing with 163 yards from scrimmage and two touchdown receptions. It’s the second time the third-year pro has garnered the honor, becoming the first player for the Bolts since LaDainian Tomlinson (2005-06) to win the award in consecutive seasons. Meanwhile, the Chargers’ 2017 first-round pick, WR Mike Williams, is expected to make his NFL debut this week. Ever since Williams’ back injury flared up in the summer, the Chargers had planned to sit him out until Week 6. Williams has been practicing in pads since Week 2. In his last season at Clemson, Williams played in 15 games and caught 98 passes for 1,361 yards and 13 touchdowns. The next touchdown pass between Rivers and Antonio Gates will be the 86th connection for the pair, breaking a tie with Steve Young and Jerry Rice for the second-most in NFL history. Rivers remains among the top passers in the league, ranking fifth in passing yards (1,365) and attempts (194), and seventh in TDs (nine) and completions (116). The Chargers rank 11th in total offense (345.6 yards per game), sixth in passing (266.8 ypg), 29th in rushing (78.8 ypg) and 19th in points (19.8). Defensively, the Bolts rank 24th in total defense (351.4 ypg), fourth in passing (190.2 ypg), 32nd in rushing (161.2 ypg) and 21st in points allowed (23.0).

Why Bet On Oakland?

Only if Carr plays. He missed last week’s loss to Baltimore with a back injury, the Raiders’ third straight defeat. QB EJ Manuel made his first start as a Raider, throwing for 159 yards on 13-of-26 passing with one touchdown. Manuel’s top target was WR Michael Crabtree, who returned to action after missing Week 4, had six receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown, a 41-yard strike from Manuel. Since joining the Raiders in 2015, Crabtree also ranks fourth in the NFL with 21 receiving touchdowns, trailing only Odell Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown and Doug Baldwin. Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said the expectation is that Carr will play on Sunday against the Chargers, granted that everything goes well as he returns from a transverse process fracture in his back. Are the Raiders a safe bet in NFL Week 6? “We have to see how the week actually does go, and not just what I’m hoping for,” Del Rio said. “We have to see him be able to protect himself, and be able to execute and run the offense the way we need him to. We’ll go through practice and make the determination later in the week.” Carr has completed 74 of 109 passes (67.9 percent) for 753 yards, seven TDs and two interceptions for a 101.2 passer rating.  Crabtree has been the Raiders’ top weapon, leading the team in catches (19), receiving yards (252) and touchdowns (four).  Khalil Mack continues to be one of the NFL’s most disruptive playmakers on defense, posting 4.0 sacks in five games. The Raiders rank 30th in total offense (279.2 ypg), 26th in passing (188.6 ypg), 23rd in rushing (90.6 ypg) and 16th in points (21.6). Oakland ranks 23rd in total defense (351.2 ypg), 18th in passing (226.6 ypg), 25th in rushing (124.6 ypg) and 16th in points allowed (21.8).
