If you are looking for a great NFL game this Sunday, you might want to avoid the matchup in Chicago between the Jaguars and the Bears as each team is last in its division with just one victory. The Bears won’t be favored often on NFL odds this year but are Sunday.

Why Bet on Jacksonville?

The Jaguars (1-3) were off last week. They played in London in Week 4 and might have saved coach Gus Bradley’s job for the time being with a 30-27 victory. Blake Bortles threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. Colts QB Andrew Luck’s fourth-and- 1 pass at the Jacksonville 49 with 1:36 remaining fell from the hands of tight end Dwayne Allen. The Jaguars got a semblance of a running game going for the first time this season. T.J. Yeldon carried 13 times for 68 yards and Bortles added seven scrambles for 36 yards.“Everybody knows [that Bradley was on the hot seat],” Jaguars receiver Allen Hurns said. “Whether you try not to hear it, you’re going to hear it. You have to deal with internet and reporters. Everybody knows, but for the most part we wanted to go out, protect the team and also protect Gus. It’s been tough.”The Jaguars’ offense produced a season-high in points against the Colts in Week 4. A reason? It was the first game this season in which Hurns and Allen Robinson – who combined for 24 touchdowns in 2015 – both caught a touchdown pass. The Jags did lose starting guard Luke Joeckel to a season-ending injury. It’s second time he’s suffered a season-ending injury in his young career. The 2013 No. 2 overall pick missed the final 11 games of his rookie season with a fractured ankle.Jags tight end Julius Thomas (elbow) is expected to return for Week 6. Thomas had the bye week to heal up after missing the game in London. It’s been a rough few weeks Jacksonville’s tight ends, with Thomas, Marcedes Lewis (hip) and Ben Koyack (knee surgery) all getting injured. Thomas has secured 11-of- 18 targets for 148 yards and a score through three games. DE Jared Odrick (elbow) is also expected to return. Odrick has missed the Jaguars’ last two games. His return will bump Yannick Ngakoue from the starting lineup.

Why Bet on Chicago?

Bears starting QB Jay Cutler has missed the last three games with a thumb injury, and his backup – journeyman Brian Hoyer – has played well enough he reportedly may remain the starter when Cutler is healthy. Last week, the Bears lost 29-23 at the Colts. Hoyer was solid in his third straight start and gave Chicago (1-4) a 23-19 lead with a 24-yard TD pass to Jordan Howard with 7:04 left in the game. The 94-yard drive was Chicago’s longest in more than seven years. Hoyer finished 33 of 43 for 397 yards and two TDs. But after a late Bears fumble led to Adam Vinatieri’s fifth field goal, Hoyer couldn’t convert on fourth-and- 8 from Indy’s 28-yard line. Bears rookie Howard ran 16 times for 118 yards and caught three passes for 45 yards and a score in his second straight start. With upcoming games versus the Green Bay Packers (3-1) and Minnesota Vikings (5-0), the Bears have to win Sunday. Otherwise, they could be looking at 1-7 heading into the bye week Nov. 6. Entering Week 6, the Bears rank 9th in offense (19th in rushing and 6th passing) and 14th in defense (24th against the run and 12th versus the pass). The Jaguars rank 26th in offense (30th rushing and 19th passing) and 17th in defense (17th versus the run and 7th versus the pass).Jacksonville hasn’t had a lot of luck along the team’s offensive line and that will factor into their potential success against Chicago. The Bears feature an aggressive front seven. With the Jaguars offensive line in flux, the unit needs to be very aware of outside linebacker Willie Young. The veteran is coming off a three-sack performance against the Colts. The Bears lead the all-time series with the Jaguars 4-2 and have won two straight. The Bears won the last meeting 41-3 on Oct. 7, 2012 in Jacksonville.
