The Eagles fired Kelly after three seasons, so he’s owed $6.5 million for the 2017 season. Kelly also struck gold with the 49ers by signing four-year $24 million deal with the Niners that’s worth $6 million annually. Kelly could also sit out and do absolutely nothing in 2018 and 2019 and the Niners would have to pay him $6 million each season. Maybe it’s me, but I’m fairly certain that Chip Kelly is done being a head coach in the NFL.
