Why Bet On Oakland at +2.5?

The Oakland Raiders will look to finish the preseason with an unblemished record after narrowly getting past Green Bay 22-21 in Week 3 as third-string quarterback Nathan Peterman went 23 of 37 for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Veteran backup Mike Glennon went 4 of 9 for 38 yards. De’Mornay Pierson-El had a team-high six receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown while Keith Smith had four receptions for 15 yards and another score. Daniel Carson made a 33-yard field goal with eight seconds left in a game that was played on a shortened, 80-yard field because of safety concerns. Defensively, Nicholas Morrow had a team-high five tackles while Nick Nelson added an interception in the win. The Raiders sat 33 players in the narrow win.

“We were going to have all our starters play, and it was just one of those deals,” LaFleur said. “We certainly have all played on much worse surfaces in our life, but it was just one of those deals where they weren’t playing their starters and so we just decided to sit them.”

Why Bet On Seattle at -2.5?

The Seahawks improved to 2-1 in preseason action by downing the L.A. Chargers 23-15 on Saturday night as starting quarterback Russell Wilson went 6 of 9 for 73 yards while leading Seattle to a pair of first-half touchdown drives. The Seahawks rushed for 125 yards in the win with C.J. Prosise, Rashaad Penny and backup quarterback Geno Smith all rushing for touchdowns in the win.

“I think we feel great. We executed everything we wanted to do,” said Wilson. “We ran the ball really well and got some balls down the field.”

“We really wanted to run the football and be efficient,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “The running backs did a real nice job and that’s a tribute to the system.”

Defensively, Ugo Amadi had a team-high 5 tackles while Brandon Jackson added one sack in the win.

Expert Analysis and Prediction for Raiders vs Seahawks

Oakland might be an unblemished 3-0 right now, but I’m going with Seattle to take care of business at home, mostly because I’m expecting Geno Smith and Paxton Lynch to outplay Oakland counterparts Mike Glennon and Nathan Peterman in this one. Oakland is 9-19-2 ATS in their last 30 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games while Seattle has gone 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. With the home team in this series going 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings I say back the Seahawks to hold it down at home!
