San Diego Chargers Season Winning Favorites

San Diego Chargers Season Winning Favorites

Written by on August 30, 2016

There’s no other way to say it. The San Diego Chargers are arguably the biggest bunch of underachievers in all of football after falling all the way to four wins despite having more than enough talent to win with. Now, with Philip Rivers and the Bolts looking to put the past in the rear mirror and get back into the playoffs for the first time in years, let’s find out what are the betting odds in store for the AFC West playoff hopefuls.

Can Rivers Lead San Diego Chargers Out Of Abyss In 2016?

2016 Regular Season Win Total Odds

Over/Under 7 Wins Analysis: The San Diego Chargers are a complete and utter mess people! Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let me just say that the Bolts will only win home games against San Francisco, Jacksonville, Miami and Oakland while winning on the road against um….no one. No way does San Diego record eight wins to top their win total odds.

AFC West Division Odds

+800 Analysis: Unfortunately, unless the Chiefs and Broncos dissolve their respective franchises before the start of the season, there’s no way that San Diego wins the AFC West in 2016. Hell, they likely won’t beat out Oakland, though the Raiders have looked clueless on defense this preseason.

AFC Championship Odds

+3500 Analysis: I remember when the Chargers were one of the most fun teams in the National Football league to watch, but of course, that was four decades ago. Jeez….I’m telling my age! The Bolts won’t reach the postseason, meaning they have no shot of winning the AFC conference crown.

Super Bowl 51 Odds

+6000 Analysis: Dan Fouts and the rest of the Air Coryell Chargers of the 1980s could probably beat today’s version of the Chargers and I mean, at their current ages too. No way does San Diego have any chance to reach, let alone win, Super Bowl 51.
