San Diego’s Top NFL Spreads for 2016 Regular Season!

Week 2

Jacksonville Jaguars at San Diego (-2.5) Analysis: If you didn’t know before, you sure do now. The Jacksonville Jaguars went 1-7 SU and 3-4-1 ATS in their eight road dates in 2015 and are facing another uphill battle heading into 2016, although they showed decent progress last season. Having said that, Jacksonville was completely awful on defense last season, ranking 31st in points allowed (28/0 ppg) and 29th against the pass. Unfortunately, Jacksonville’s lack of pass defense plays right into San Diego Chargers’s strength – the right arm of veteran gunslinger Philip Rivers. While the Bolts were a dismal 3-5 SU and just 206 ATS at home a year ago, but that’s also one of the reasons I like the Bolts in this Week 2 matchup. While San Diego has its share of problems, they also ranked fourth in passing in 2015 and will win this matchup by simply airing it out! The Pick: San Diego 28 Jacksonville 24

Week 6

Denver Broncos (-3) at San Diego Analysis: The Chargers have lost a whopping five straight home games against the AFC West division rival Broncos dating back to 2011, but without Peyton Manning or Brock Osweiler, I’m expecting Denver to struggle offensively in 2016. Having said that, I’m fully expecting the Chargers to snap out of their home funk against Denver and get back to the winning ways that helped them win four of five at home against the Broncos from 2006 to 2010. The Pick: San Diego 21 Denver 20

Week 9

Tennessee Titans at San Diego (-4.5) Analysis: Marcus Mariota may be one of the most prized young quarterbacks in the league right now, but the former Oregon star was at the helm for most of Tennessee’s 1-6 SU and ATS road marks over their last seven games a year ago and I don’t expect the Titans to be much better in 2016. San Diego won nine straight against Tennessee until having that streak snapped back in 2013. No matter, the Bolts will start a new streak against the Titans in this one! The Pick: San Diego 38 Tennessee 28

Week 15

Oakland Raiders at San Diego (-1) Analysis: The Chargers had won three straight and seven of nine against the division rival Raiders until falling at home 37-29 last season as a 3.5-point home favorite no less. While I really love the direction that Oakland is now heading in, I’ve got to believe that San Diego is going to hold it down at home in this Week 15 showdown to improve on their pitiful 1-6 ATS mark in their last seven home dates against the Raiders. Before losing last year’s pair of regular season meetings, the Chargers went 6-2 SU but just 3-5 ATS over the previous eight meetings. My final online NFL betting picks selection says that San Diego wins in a shootout. The Pick: San Diego 31 Oakland 28
