A Closer Look At The Top NFL Trio Of Week 8 ATS Winning Picks

Washington at Cincinnati

When: Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 7:30 AM ETWhere: Wembley StadiumOdds: Cincinnati -3TV: FOXAnalysis: I advised bettors that the Washington Redskins would get humbled in Week 7 and the NFC East playoff hopefuls didn’t disappoint in falling to Detroit 20-17 last weekend. Conversely, Cincinnati made my ‘easy’ Week 7 pick for a win and ATS cover against lowly Cleveland come true by taking down their AFC North division rivals 31-17. Now, for this Week 8 inter-conference clash, I’m going to urge you to back a Cincinnati Bengals team that is semi-desperate, playing at home and has a big edge at quarterback,  defense and on the sideline. While these teams have met just once every four years, the Bengals has won three straight dating back to 2004 and four of the last five meetings overall.  More importantly, Cincinnati has a player that is virtually unguardable in wide receiver A.J. Green and an aggressive defense that I expect to force Washington’s Kirk Cousins into at least one really costly turnover. I like the Bengals to win and narrowly cover the NFL ATS betting line.Pick: Cincinnati 28 Washington 24

Oakland at Tampa Bay

When: Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM ETWhere: Raymond James StadiumOdds: Tampa Bay -1.5TV: CBSAnalysis: The Oakland Raiders are a young and blossoming team that is clearly headed in the right direction under no-nonsense head coach Jack Del Rio. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers probably have just as much young talent as the Raiders, but they’re also a rudderless franchise with questionable ownership that fired their own no-nonsense head coach a year ago in favor of an inexperienced offensive coordinator with no prior head coaching experience. Not only that, but Oakland holds the edge in scoring, points allowed and has not lost a game on the road in four outings this season. I know the Buccaneers have won two straight, but those wins came against the reeling Panthers and rebuilding 49ers so I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock into the quality of those victories. While both teams have gifted young quarterbacks and a ton of talent at the skill positions, the Raiders have the big edge in defensive talent, particularly in the defensive backfield. With Oakland going 5-0 ATS in its last five road games and Tampa Bay going 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, I say the Raiders win outright to cover the NFL betting line as a slight road dog.Pick: Oakland 31 Tampa Bay 27

Kansas City at Indianapolis

When: Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM ETWhere: Lucas Oil StadiumOdds: Kansas City -2.5TV: CBSAnalysis: The Kansas City Chiefs sneaked past the New Orleans Saints 27-21 last weekend in a hard-fought battle just as I expected  while the Indianapolis Colts got past the mediocre Tennessee Titans just as I predicted. Now, with both teams looking to improve their chances of reaching the postseason, I’m going to advise you to back the Chiefs to get the outright road win and super-narrow ATS cover.Indianapolis has alternated SU wins and losses over their last five games while Kansas City has won two straight and three of their last four games overall. While Indianapolis has given up at least 22 points in each of their last five games and ranks an uninspiring 28th in points allowed (28.5 ppg). Conversely, the Chiefs have limited two of their last four opponents to 10 points or less while not allowing more than 21 points in four of their last five games overall.Like their NFC counterparts, the Green Bay Packers, things just aren’t quite right with Andrew Luck and the Colts – on both sides of the ball. Last but not least, did I mention that Indy head coach Chuck Pagano isn’t fit to hold Andy Reid’s clipboard? Kansas City wins, but it’s going to be a dogfight.Pick: Kansas City 31 Indianapolis 26
