Top NHL Betting Games Of The Week (Nov. 21st – 25th)

Written by on November 21, 2016

The first quarter of the NHL season is close to being in the books, and there are a few teams who have already signaled their Stanley Cup intentions. The Montreal Canadiens look like the team to beat in the East, while the Chicago Blackhawks are starting to separate from the pack in the West. Things can change dramatically, though, and those of you who follow hockey closely will remember that Montreal made a very similar start last season, only to completely fall apart and miss out on the postseason. We will continue to assess how things look with each passing week, but for now, let’s look at some of the best games on the NHL schedule for the coming week.

A Closer Look At The Top NHL Betting Games Of The Week (Nov. 21st – 25th)

New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins – Monday November 21

It’s a Metropolitan Division clash that should be considered a must watch. The New York Rangers are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, and are currently sitting atop the division. They are only 2 points up on the Penguins, though, and the Stanley Cup champions have also been hot of late, going 6-2-2 in their last 10. There is a tight group of 4 teams packing the top of the division, and it’s important to beat out these rivals to gain a little separation. This is a big one.

Chicago Blackhawks at Edmonton Oilers – Monday November 21

Another big game for Monday night, as the Chicago Blackhawks stay on the road to face an Oilers team that has been a pleasant surprise this season. Edmonton have started to tail off a little after a strong start, going just 3-6-1 in their last 10, but with Connor McDavid coming off his first career hat-trick, expect the Oilers to be fired up again. The Blackhawks will be looking to build on their solid 5-3-0 road record this season.

Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens – Tuesday November 22

It’s always fun to see Canadian teams go head to head, as there is a rivalry and passion there that is hard to match. It also helps when the teams hooking up are playing some outstanding hockey, as both teams are. The Canadiens are a stunning 11-0-1 on home ice this season, which means that the Senators will have their work cut out for them. If that Ottawa defense can slow down the potent Montreal offense, the upset could be on the cards.

Columbus Blue Jackets at Tampa Bay Lightning – Friday November 25

If it’s goals that you are after, this might very well be the game to tune into and wager on. Both teams are about as hot as it gets this moment, and are both starting this week on 4-game win streaks. Both are the top 4 in goals per game average, and both are also potent on the power play, which would seem to suggest that fireworks are in the offing for this one. The Tampa Bay Lightning would seem to be a good pick on home ice, but this Jackets team in 8-1-1 in its last 10, so keep an eye on the betting odds here.
