Roger Federer vs. Aljaz Bedene

If you don’t know by now, the legendary Federer just won the Mercedes Cup title at Stuttgart this past weekend by dispatching Milos Raonic in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (3) in the finals in his first tournament since sitting out the entire clay court season as he did a year ago. The 20-time Grand Slam champion had already secured his return to number one in the world rankings with a victory over Nick Kyrgios in the semi-final. “I played very well throughout the tournament, it is a great comeback for me. I am so happy to have won,” said Federer. “I was hoping to play a couple matches here but I have played four and won them all. The last few have been very good. Now, Fed will take on World No. 72 Aljaz Bedene and he’s 1-0 in his career against the Slovenia native, having taken out his counterpart 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 in the Australian Open earlier this year en route to his record 20th grand slam title. Federer has won Halle a whopping nine times and is a virtual lock to dispatch Bedene in this one. Prediction: Roger Federer in Straight Sets

Borna Coric vs. Alexander Zverev

Believe it or not, the world No. 34 Borna Coric is 2-1 in his career against the second-seeded and ATP’s World No. 3 Sascha Zverev. Coric won their first two meetings in 2015 in Cincinnati and 2017 at the US Open in three sets each time, but Zverev got some revenge with a 6-4, 6-4 straight sets win in Miami earlier this year. Alexander Zverev shouldn't be one of your Tennis Betting picks of the week. Zverev is the favorite and the better grass court player, but he came up lame in the French Open and Coric should make him work extra hard for the win in this one. I’m going to say that there’s some serious upset value looming in this matchup! Prediction: Borna Coric Upset in Three Sets

Mischa Zverev vs. Karen Khachanov

22-year-old Karen Khachanov is 1-0 against the 30-year-old Mischa Zverev on the pro tour, but what you may not know is that the older Zverev brother is 2-0 against his Halle opponent in qualifying matches with both wins coming in 2016. More importantly, Mischa Zverev is one of the best grass court players in the world with his classic serve and volley game shortening up points and catching opponents by surprise. I know the world No. 36 Khachanov is the bigger, faster, younger and stronger player in this affair, but I’ve got hope that Zverev can get it done on grass. I’m going with the upset in this one too! Prediction: Mischa Zverev Upset in Three Sets
