Since the start of the pandemic, we have become used to seeing the UFC either stick to their location in Las Vegas, or head overseas to fight island. That all changes this weekend, though, as the fighters set to take part in the upcoming Fight Night will be heading to Columbus, Ohio. The good people of Columbus, as well as those of you preparing to watch on TV, are in for a treat, as the UFC has put together a very solid 6-fight main card for this one. Let’s take a deeper dive into all the fights, which are set to begin at 4 PM EST on Saturday, with UFC odds and predictions for each.

MMA Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: Blaydes Vs Daukaus

Marc Diakiese (+120) Vs Viacheslav Borshchev (-150)

The main card opens with a Lightweight bout featuring a pair of fighters heading in very different directions. Diakiese comes into this one at 14-5, but he has lost 2 in a row and 3 of his last 5 fights. Borshchev has won 4 in a row to take his career mark to 6-1. Borshchev is 1-0 in the UFC, and I think he wins again via KO here.

Aleksei Oleinik (+160) Vs Ilir Latifi (-200)

The big boys step into the octagon next for a Heavyweight bout, with both fighters in desperate need of a win. At 44 years of age, Oleinik is nearing the end of his career, with 3 straight losses making it look like the end might come soon. Latifi did win last time out, but that snapped a 3-fight losing skid. I think Latifi gets the KO and piles on the misery for Oleinik.

Askar Askarov (-380) Vs Kai Kara-France (+305)

This has the potential to be the fight of the night, as we have a pair of top 5 Flyweights ready to do battle. Askarov comes into this one with an unbeaten 14-0-1 record, with a win here taking him one step closer to a title shot. Kai-France is 23-9 overall, and while he has won 2 in a row, he also has a couple of losses in his last 5. I’m with Askarov for the decision win.

Matt Brown (-115) Vs Bryan Barberena (-115)

You need only look at the odds to see just how evenly matched this Welterweight bout looks to be. Brown is 23-18 and got back wo winning ways last time out after losing 2 in a row. Barberena is 16-8 overall, but he has been in a bit of a slump, losing 3 of his last 5. I don’t see this going the distance, and I like Brown for the KO win.

Joanne Wood (+200) Vs Alexa Grasso (-255)

Both of these women are in the top 10 in the Flyweight rankings, but they are heading in very different directions at the moment. Wood is trying to find her way back after losing 2 in a row and 3 of her last 4. Grasso was in a bit of a slump, but she appears to have righted the ship with back-to-back wins. I am taking Grasso to win by decision.

Curtis Blaydes (-450) Vs Chris Daukaus (+325)

We can probably expect the night to end with a bang when these Heavyweights step into the octagon. Blaydes, who is 15-3 overall and ranked #7, comes into this fight with a 15-3 record and 4 wins from his last 5 fights. Daukaus is 12-4 overall and looking to bounce back after losing his last bout. Both men have power to but, but I like Blaydes to get the KO win.
