UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Emmett Betting Odds, Analysis & Picks

The UFC has been on the move the last couple of weeks, moving out of Las Vegas to try some new locales. They are on the move again this weekend, with the latest version of Fight Night set to go at 4 PM EST on Saturday from Austin, Texas. As you would expect from such an event, there are no title fights to speak of, but we do have a very solid main card, with 6 very good fights available to watch and wager on. There is a lot of ground to cover here, so let’s jump right in to this MMA preview with the top UFC lines.

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Emmett

Julian Marquez (+150) Vs Gregory Rodrigues (-180)

We get the evening rolling with a Middleweight bout that looks to be evenly matched. Marquez comes in with a 9-2 record, and while he lost recently, he has bounced back nicely with back-to-back wins. Rodrigues saw a positive 4-fight win streak come to an end with a loss last time out, so he needs a bounce back win. I think he gets it, but he will need to watch out for Marquez’s power.

Damir Ismagulov (-165) Vs Guram Kutateladze (+135)

We have a Lightweight bout up next and a pair of fighters who are both in great form. Ismagilov is an impressive 23-1 and the winner of 18 straight fights, 4 of which have come under the UFC banner. It is a similar story for Kutateladze, who has won 9 in a row, which includes a split decision win in his first UFC fight. I think Ismagulov takes this one by decision.

Joaquin Buckley (+205) Vs Albert Duraev (-245)

Next up is another Middleweight bout and another mouthwatering matchup. Buckley comes into this one with a 14-4 record and a solid run of form that has seen him win 4 of his last 5 fights. After a run that saw him win 8 in a row, Duraev took 3 years off before returning to deliver back-to-back wins. I think he keeps the winning streak alive here.

Tim Means (+230) Vs Kevin Holland (-290)

Next up is a Welterweight bout and one that might be a little tricky for the favorite. Holland is coming off a win last time out, but that victory snapped a streak of 3 winless. On the flipside, the experienced Means is 32-12-1 overall and on a run that has seen him win 3 in a row. A tough one for Holland, but I think he wears Means down and get the KO win.

Donald Cerrone (-165) Vs Joe Lauzon (+135)

The co-main event of the night is a Lightweight bout featuring a pair of fighters in need of a win. Cerrone is still a big draw, but the reality is that he has 5 losses and 1 No Contest in his last 6 fights, albeit against tough opposition. Lauzon is coming off a win last time out, snapping a 3-fight losing skid in the process. A close one, but I think Cerrone grinds out the win.

Calvin Kattar (-235) Vs Josh Emmett (+195)

We close out the night with the main event, which is a very good looking Featherweight bout. Kattar is ranked #4 and sits at 23-5, although 2 of those losses have come in his last 5 fights. Emmett, on the other hand is hot, winning 4 in a row to get to 17-2 overall. This one looks set to go the distance and I have Kattar with the decision win.
