UFC 262: Oliveira Vs Chandler Betting Odds & Picks

Written by on May 14, 2021

This weekend, the UFC is back in Vegas for an event that is about as big as it gets. We have a title fight on tap on Saturday night, with everyone hoping that we don’t see another last-minute cancellation, as we did last weekend with the headline event. It is, as it stands at the moment, a fantastic main card, with 5 fights that all have the potential to be entertaining. Let’s now take a quick look at each bout and make some predictions as we go along with their UFC odds.

UFC 262 Betting Preview | Oliveira Vs Chandler

Shane Burgos (-145) Vs Edson Barboza (+115)

We get the night started with a Featherweight bout that has the potential for some fireworks, as both fighters can pack a punch. Burgos is 13-2 in his pro career and is looking to bounce back from a loss last time out. 3 of his last 5 fights have not made it the distance. Barboza is 21-9, but he has been up and down of late, losing 5 of his last 7, although he is coming into this one on the heels of a win. I am going with the slight upset here and taking Barboza to win.

Katlyn Chookagian (-135) Vs Viviane Araujo (+105)

As the odds clearly show, we are looking at a women’s Flyweight bout that might well be too close to call. Chookagian is 3-2 in her last 5 fights, taking her career mark to 15-4, but those losses have come against the best fighters in the division. Araujo is 10-2 and has just 1 loss in her last 8 fights, so she is certainly coming into this fight in a rich vein of form. I see this one going the distance, with a slight edge to Chookagian.

Matt Schnell (-160) Vs Rogerio Bontorin (+130)

It’s the Flyweights who are up next, and it’s a pair of fighters who are currently ranked in the top 10 in the division. Schell is 15-5 and is on a run that has seen him win 5 of his last 6 fights, with 3 of those wind coming in the opening round. If Bontorin wants to stay in the top 10, he needs a win here, as he is coming into this bout on the heels of back-to-back losses. This looks to be a fight destined to go the distance, with Schnell getting the win.

Tony Ferguson (+130) Vs Beneil Dariush (-160)

For the co-main event of the night, we have a Lightweight bout that has Fight of the Night potential. There is going to be some desperation from Ferguson, you would think, as he is now on a run that has seen him lose 2 in a row. Dariush, on the other hand, is about as hot as it gets, as he is on a 6-fight winning streak that has him edging ever closer to a title shot. This is another that could potentially go the distance, and I am on Dariush by decision.

Charles Oliveira (-130) Vs Michael Chandler (+100)

The vacant Lightweight Title is on the line on Saturday night, so expect both of these fighters to go all out for the win. Oliveira is 30-8 in his career and is on a hot run for form, winning 8 in a row and taking some big names out in the process. Since losing to Patricio Pitbull, Chandler has bounced back and reeled off 3 huge wins to get his title shot. Again, I am going with the slight underdog and taking Chandler for the KO win.
