Pedro Munhoz +240 vs Sean O’Malley -300

Munhoz could be in some trouble. Not only does O’Malley boast a better record, 15-1 compared to 19-7, but the -300 chalk is taller and has a much longer reach.

O’Malley stands at 5’ 11’ while Munhoz is 5’ 6”. O’Malley’s reach is 72” and Munhoz’s is 65”. Also, Munhoz has lost 4-of-5 while O’Malley has won 3 straight. The chalk takes this.

UFC 276 Pick: Sean O’Malley

Robbie Lawler -120 vs Bryan Barberena +100

UFC favorite Robbie Lawler had lost 4 straight. But in his lone fight in 2021, Lawler beat another UFC fave, Nick Diaz.

On July 2, Robbie faces a tough customer in Bryan Barberena. The slight underdog has won 3-of-4. Not only that, but Barberena is 10-2 via TKO or KO and 2-1 via submissions.

However, as good as Barberena has fought, he hasn’t come close to taking on someone like Lawler. Robbie makes it 2 straight.

UFC 276 Pick: Robbie Lawler

Sean Strickland -110 vs Alex Pereira -110

Strickland brings a dynamite 25-3 record into this bout. He’s won 6 straight. The last loss happened back in 2018.

Alex Pereira is 5-1. But although Pereira doesn’t have the UFC experience that Strickland has, the kick boxer is 4-0 via technical knockout and knockout wins. Pereira is the play.

UFC 276 Pick: Alex Pereira

Alexander Volkanovski -210 vs Max Holloway +175 | UFC Featherweight Title

In the first of two championship bouts on the night, 24-1 featherweight titlist Alexander Volkanovski takes on UFC veteran Max Holloway.

Holloway and Volkanovski have fought twice before. Both times, Volkanovski beat Holloway. The last bout happened in 2020. Max lost via split-decision.

Max has won twice since then, beating Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodriguez via split-decision. Volkanovski has also fought twice since then. This should be a close bout. Since it should be close, the better play is on Holloway.

UFC 276 Pick: Max Holloway

Israel Adesanya -470 vs Jared Cannonier +360 | UFC Middleweight Title

Cannonier has a very good 15-5 record. Not only that, but he’s won 4-of-5. In his last on the UFC 271 undercard, Cannonier used elbow strikes to knock out Derrick Brunson.

But although Cannonier has fought well, this is a massive step up. Israel Adesanya is one of the best UFC fighters in the world. Adesanya’s only loss happened when he moved up to light heavyweight to take on Jan Blachowicz.

Cannonier will fight well. He just won’t fight well enough to beat Israel Adesanya. Expect the champ to win this via knockout.

UFC 276 Pick: Israel Adesanya
