UFC 282 Betting Preview: Last Event of the Year

As we approach the midway point of the month of November, we draw ever closer to the end of the 2022 season in the UFC. We still have a few more events to come before breaking for the holiday season, the largest of which is UFC 282. That one is set for December 10 and is home to a huge title fight for the Light Heavyweight Championship. We would all love to close out the UFC season with a winning night, and with 5 fights on the main card, there are certainly plenty of opportunities to cash some winning tickets. We thought it might be a good idea to look ahead and pick out the specific bets from each fight that could potentially make you win some money by betting against the UFC Odds, so let’s dive right in.

Last big UFC Event of the Year. How to Bet on UFC 282 and Win Big

Bryce Mitchell Vs Ilia Topuria

What better way to open up the main card than with a Featherweight bout where both fighters come in with unbeaten records. That makes this one a little tougher to predict, as both men will be valiantly defending those records. Mitchell tends to go the distance, while Topuria is in the habit of getting the job done quickly. I think taking Topuria to win at the current odds of -169 is the way to go here.

Paddy Pimblett Vs Jared Gordon

This Lightweight bout should be a fun one to watch, especially since Pimblett is very quickly making a name for himself in the UFC. Pimblett is in as the favorite at odds of -208, and while he seems like a good bet, I think you should be looking at this one being finished early. Pimblett has not had to go beyond Round 2 in each of his last 5 fights, so I’d wager on this one to finish inside the distance.

Santiago Ponzinibbio Vs Robbie Lawler

We have a pair of fighters here who are in need of a win, as both have not been very good over their last 5 fights. In fact, they have combined for 7 losses during that stretch. Despite all of that, we have a very clear favorite here, with Ponzinibbio in at -400 to win this one. Not a great deal of value there, so I would be playing Ponzinibbio to get the KO win in the early rounds.

Jan Blachowicz Vs Magomed Ankalaev

We have another clear favorite here, with Ankalaev, who is an impressive 18-1 in his career, in at -263. Those are not the worst odds ever for a favorite and playing him to get the win will put you in profit. That said, I think he is going to have a tough battle on his hands against Blachowicz, which is why I think playing this one to go the distance is the way to better profits.

Jiri Prochazka Vs Glover Teixeira

Not only do we have a title fight to close out the night, this one is a rematch. Prochazka won the last meeting, getting the win in the final round. He is the favorite again here, and I actually think he might get the job done a little more quickly this time around. I would wait to see what the O/U is on the finishing round, as I think that is the play here.
