UFC Fight Night: Chan Sung “The Korean Zombie” Jung vs Dan Ige Betting Odds & Picks

It’s back to Sin City we go for another big fight night in Las Vegas this Saturday. UFC Vegas 29 actually gets underway at 4 PM EST and closes out with what looks to be a very good 6-fight main card. We have a ton of ground to cover with this one, so let’s take a closer look inside the matchups, with UFC odds and predictions for each.

MMA Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: The Korean Zombie Vs Ige

Diego Lima (-185) Vs Matt Brown (+155)

The main card opens up with a Welterweight bout that features a fighter in the waning stages of his career. Lima will be looking at this one as an opportunity to bounce back after taking a loss last time out and seeing his career record drop to 15-8. For Brown, who is now in his 40’s, you feel that the end is near, as he has now lost 2 in a row and 3 of his last 5. This is one you would expect Lima to win, but he might need to go the distance to do it.

Wellington Turman (-105) Vs Bruno Silva (-125)

This Middleweight bout looks like one that might be among the toughest to handicap given that these two are very evenly matched. Turman, who is now 16-4, is in desperate need of a win after dropping 2 of his last 3 bouts. It has been the opposite for Silva, who comes into this one having picked up the win in each of his last 4 fights. Two good fighters, but I like Silva for the KO win.

Julian Erosa (+120) Vs Seung Woo Choi (-150)

It is the Featherweights who are up next in what is another bout that looks to be evenly matched. Erosa comes in as a slight underdog despite winning each of his last 3 fights to snap out of a losing streak. That took his career mark to 25-8. It has been a bit of a similar story for Choi, who experienced back-to-back losses before bouncing back to win his last 2 fights. I am leaning towards experience here and going with the slight upset. I am on Erosa to win.

Marlon Vera (-200) Vs Davey Grant (+160)

We have a pair of Bantamweights on differing runs of form going head to head in the next fight of the night. Vera is arguably the more desperate of the two, as he has now lost 2 of his last 3 fights to fall to 18-7-1 in his career. It has been a much better run of form for Grant over the last 3 fights, as he came away victorious in all of them, yet he is still in as the underdog. Not easy, but I like Vera to get the decision.

Aleksei Oleinik (+185) Vs Sergey Spivak (-225)

The big men are up next in a Heavyweight bout that sees an aging veteran go against an up and comer. At 43, Oleinik is in the twilight of his career, but he is still a tough out. He does come into this one on a 2-fight losing skid. Spivak is moving up and rankings and comes in on a 2-fight win streak that has him at 12-2. Those 2 losses have come in his last 5, but I still think he gets the job done here.

Chan Sung Jung (+100) Vs Dan Ige (-130)

The main event of the night features a pair of Featherweights looking for a win that would move them closer to a title shot. The Korean Zombie took a backward step last time out with a loss to Brian Ortega, which took him to 16-6 overall. Ige is 15-3 and managed to bounce back with a win last time out after taking a loss on his previous fight. A close on here, but I am on Jung.
