2020 Belmont Stakes featuring Tiz the Law

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, horse racing rearranged the Triple Crown. The first race in the sequence happens on Saturday. The Belmont Stakes, in most years the final of the 3 TC races, kicks off the Triple Crown.

Not only is the Belmont first, but it will also run at 1 1/8 miles instead of 1 ½ miles. That makes the Belmont a normal 3-year-old event. Still, the field came up strong.

  • pp-1 Tap It To Win 6-1
  • pp-2 Sole Volante 9-2
  • pp-3 Max Player 15-1
  • pp-4 Modernist 15-1
  • pp-5 Farmington Road 15-1
  • pp-6 Fore Left 30-1
  • pp-7 Jungle Runner 50-1
  • pp-8 Tiz the Law 6-5
  • pp-9 Post 5-1
  • pp-10 Pneumatic 8-1

Check out our write-up on the Belmont. Don’t just wager on the top race on Belmont Park’s Saturday card, though.

There are 6 other graded races on the card, including three other Grade 1 stakes in addition to the Belmont: the Woody Stephens, Acorn, and Jaipur. Sometimes, undercard races pay more than featured events.

So, make sure to check out all the races at Belmont Park on Saturday.

Final 2 Rounds at the RBC Heritage PGA Tournament

Golf is back! The final two rounds of the RBC Heritage happen on Saturday and Sunday. The second PGA Tournament since the Covid-19 crisis shutdown is shaping up for an awesome finish.

Webb Simpson, as of 9:44 am ET, has a 1-stoke lead at -8 over Ryan Palmer, Ian Poulter, and Mark Hubbard. But all 4 golfers aren’t sure things to play with the lead on Sunday.

7 golfers are within 2 strokes of Simpson. 14 golfers are within 3 strokes of Webb. Among those 14 golfers are Bryson DeChambeau, Abraham Ancer, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Tony Finau.

Webb doesn’t have this in the bag yet.

UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov on Saturday night

UFC continues paving the way for other sports to return. Once again, Ultimate Fighting Championships has a massive fight card.

12 fights are on the Blaydes vs. Volkov undercard. There are 5 fights on the main card. In addition to Curtis Blaydes against Alexander Volkov, Raquel Pennington returns to the Octagon versus Marion Reneau.

The top fight at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night could turn out to be 15-2 Josh Emmett against 13-21 Shane Burgos. Shane is favored, but Josh has a big chance. Make sure to handicap that fight!

English Premier League and Italian Serie A soccer action

Two of the most followed soccer leagues in the world get back onto the pitch this weekend. On Friday, Tottenham battles Manchester United at around 3:00 pm ET.

Tottenham-Man U. is the first huge EPL match. Then on Sunday, Liverpool gets back to work when they take on Everton.

Serie A returns to action as well. Atalanta and Internazionale both play on Sunday. On Monday, Juventus battles Bologna and AC Milan travels to Lecce.

Also, Bundesliga and La Liga soccer

Soccer bettors mustn’t forget about the Bundesliga. There are 9 Bundesliga matches on Saturday, including Bayern against Freiburg and Leipzig versus Dortmund.

Over in La Liga, Barcelona takes on Sevilla FC on Friday. That match kicks off at 4:00 pm ET. Atletico plays on Saturday and Real Madrid plays on Sunday.

NASCAR heads to Ricky Bobby’s favorite track, Talladega Motor Speedway

Ricky Bobby will be watching. NASCAR head’s to Talladega Motor Speedway this Sunday for the Geico 500.

Often, we’re used to seeing names like Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch when we handicap NASCAR races. Drivers like Harvick, Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Martin Truex Jr. seem to dominate no matter the track.

Not Talladega. Outside of Joey Logano and Chase Elliott, the names are familiar only to hardcore motorsport fans. Aric Almirola has a couple of Top 5, a win, and a 2 Top 10 finishes in the last 4 races.

That makes Aric an underdog to consider on Sunday. Right now, Elliott is the favorite at +900. Almirola offers +2200 odds.

Whomever you back, good luck. Also, make sure to have a great weekend!
