Elena Delle Donne and the Washington Mystics will look to both, extend their season for another game while stopping Breanna Stewart and the Seattle Storm from hoisting this season’s championship trophy when they square off in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals at EagleBank Arena in the nation’s capitol on Wednesday night.

Washington put up a great effort to nearly win Game 2 on Sunday and but couldn’t tie the series. Now, let’s find out if they can avoid elimination on Wednesday night.

Storm vs Mystics WNBA Finals Game 3 Odds & Pick

When: Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 8:00 PM ET Where: EagleBank Arena TV: ESPN2 Live Stream: CBS Sports WNBA Odds: Washington -3

Why Bet on the Seattle Storm?

Why should you bet on the Storm to finish off Washington in Game 3? Well, there’s the fact that they have the league’s reigning MVP on their roster in forward Breanna Stewart (22.0 ppg, 8.6 rpg). Not only that, but they’ve got a future Hall of Fame point guard running the show in Sue Bird (10.1 ppg, 7.1 apg) that is still quite effective even though she’s nearing retirement. The Storm also have a pair of all-stars in guard Jewell Lloyd (15.8 ppg ppg) and center Natasha Howard (13. 5 ppg, 6.5 rpg). Last but not least, Seattle ranked second in scoring this season (87.2 ppg) and fifth in points allowed (79.7 ppg).

Why Bet on the Washington Mystics?

Why should you be on the Mystics in Game 3? Well, because they nearly won Game 2 before falling 75-73 in a thriller. Washington also has a MVP-caliber superstar in forward Elena Delle Donne (21.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg). The Mystics also have some very good players in Kristi Toliver (13.8 ppg), Ariel Atkins (11.4 ppg) and LaToya Sanders (10.3 ppg). Washington finished sixth in points per game (82.0 ppg) and a stellar third in points allowed (79.0 ppg), so they’re clearly very good at both ends of the floor.

Storm vs Mystics WNBA Finals Game 3 Prediction

After winning Game 1 89-76, Seattle had a tougher task on their hands to get past Washington in Game 2 and now I’m thinking Washington is the easy pick to win and avoid the sweep against a Seattle team that actually match up very well against. Not many teams have a player that is as good as Seattle’s Breanna Stewart, but Washington does in 2015 league MVP Elena Delle Donne. Sheer desperation, combined with the fact that the Mystics are back on their home floor, makes Washington my pick to win and cover the chalk as 3-point home favorites.
