NASCAR 2021 Pocono Race One Betting Odds & Predictions

Written by on June 25, 2021

It’s always a big weekend in NASCAR, but this one might just be bigger than most. After all, we are looking at a doubleheader, with a pair of Cup Series races going off on Saturday and Sunday. That’s a lot of points that are up for grabs, which could potentially mean that we see a change at the top of the driver standings. It is, though, just the midway point of the season, so what are the chances that the way in which the standings look after this weekend remain the same until the end of the season? For the purposes of this piece, we are going to look at the first race at Pocono, which is the Organics CBD 325. Let’s take a closer look at the favorites along with their NASCAR odds.

NASCAR Cup Series: POCONO ORGANICS CBD 325 Betting Preview

Kyle Larson (+200)

We spoke earlier about the potential for a change at the top of the driver standings, and we were specifically talking about Kyle Larson. There is no hotter driver in the Cup Series right now, with Larson now having won 4 in a row, if you include the All-Star Race. Despite that run, he is still just sitting in 2nd overall, but that will change if he continues to be hot over the two races this weekend. He has 4 wins overall in the Cup Series and has been top 10 in 12 of 17 races, so every chance he stays hot. He has yet to win at Pocono, finishing 5th in his last run at that track.

Denny Hamlin (+700)

It’s hard to imagine that with the outright lead in the driver standings that Denny Hamlin would be frustrated with his season to this point. Drivers want to win every time they hit the track, which Hamlin has yet to do this season. He has been consistently good, though, which is why he has been able to stay at the top. It’s wins that he wants, though, and this might be where it happens. After all, in his last 3 runs at Pocono, Hamlin has 2 wins and a 2nd place finish. Definitely worth a look at his current odds.

Kyle Busch (+800)

While sports tends to be a what have you done for me lately setup, especially when it comes to wagering, you do have to look at previous results before you put your money on the line. In the case of Kyle Busch, he hasn’t done much of late to make bettors want to wager on him, but you have to look at what he has done at Pocono before you make a decision this weekend. Between 2017 and 2019, Busch went on a run that saw him win 3 of 4 at Pocono. Is that enough to sway you to play him this weekend?

Chase Elliott (+900)

We seem to say this every week, but it still feels as though we have yet to see the best from the defending champion this season. He does have 1 win and has cracked the top 10 in 10 out of 17 races, so it is certainly not a disaster by any means. It is, perhaps, because the expectations were so high coming into 2021. In 10 races at Pocono, he is yet to get a win, but he has been in the top 10 no less than 7 times.
