The Demons and Magpies are set for their first postseason clash since 1989. Collingwood has decided to insert Darcy Cameron and Mason Cox back in the lineup. Cox was dropped briefly and went to the VFL before rejoining the team after playing as a substitute in Round 23. Magpies defenders Darcy Moore and Nathan Murphy will also return to the lineup.
Melbourne and Collingwood played an ugly match with each other during Week 13. The Demons were able to scrape by with a 66-62 victory. The Magpies’ defense, which had been strong through the first 18 rounds, struggled over the past month. Melbourne could spring an upset if the Demons’ attack is strong.
