Big3 Semifinal Results

Last weekend, the Big 3 went to the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., for the league semi-finals. The first game saw the Enemies smack the defending champion Trilogy around for a 50-37 win.

In the win, Jordan Crawford scored a game-high 27 points, including seven from downtown. Isaiah Austin added ten and eight rebounds, as his presence was felt on both the offensive and defensive sides.

The second game was a little tighter. The Triplets trailed 26-23 at halftime but surged to a 27-19 second half and eliminated the Ghost Ballers 50-45. The key offensive player in this game was Joe Johnson.

Iso-Joe has been fantastic for the Triplets in his time in the Big 3. He scored 24 points, ripped down ten rebounds, and dished out two assists in the game; Jeremy Pargo was perfect for the Triplets as well, with 17 points.

No Season Series Between the Two Teams

In a bit of a rarity, these two teams did not play during the regular season. The season is an eight-week slate with 12 teams, so each team does not play four teams in the league.

This season, they worked out, so the two title game teams do not play. During the regular season, the Triplets were 6-2 and outscored opponents by 32 points.

The Enemies finished 5-3 in the regular season and came away with a third seed in the Big 3 tournament. The Enemies outscored their opponents this season by 25 points.

Great Matchup in London

We expect this to be a great matchup. The Triplets and Trilogy were the best two teams in the Big 3 this season. It was a shock to see the Enemies knock Trilogy off.

Now, it will be interesting to see if they have the magic to do it back-to-back weeks. The biggest key here is between Jordan Crawford and Joe Johnson. Can they guard Johnson and keep him off balance? If he scores 20+ points in this game, they are going to win.
